With the release of ’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ just around the corner, it looks like the movie will be featured in a special collaboration with the popular game Fortnite.
The sequel to 28 Years Later is coming soon, and you can revisit the original now – either by watching the movie or by playing it within Fortnite!
Fortnite often features characters and themes from movies, but its latest collaboration is a bit surprising. The ’28 Days Later’ series is usually known for being very intense and realistic.
Fortnite doesn’t always take itself too seriously, and it looks like this upcoming collaboration with ’28 Years Later’ will be fun! Let’s take a look at when we might see it and what it could include.
28 Years Later x Fortnite release date speculation
The 28 Years Later x Fortnite collaboration is expected to release on 13th January 2025.
So, I saw a post from a Fortnite leaker named Adira on X, and they seem pretty reliable, but honestly, leaks are always a bit shaky, so don’t take everything they say as gospel. Just keep that in mind!
The new collaboration is expected to appear in the Fortnite Item Shop with the next update, around midnight GMT. For players in the Americas, it will probably become available on the evening of January 12th instead.

What to expect from the 28 Years Later x Fortnite collab
We’re disappointed to say this update won’t include any new skins, even though we were really hoping to add Ralph Fiennes to Fortnite!
According to original leaker Adira, the update will only include a Back Bling and Pickaxe.
Okay, so we don’t have a full look at these items yet, but I’m guessing the Pickaxe will probably be around 800 V-Bucks, and the Back Bling will likely cost around 300 V-Bucks. Just my estimate, though!
