With the release of the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, a bonus chapter was revealed that showed what happened to a character fans had been wondering about. That character turned out to be Aoi Todo, who was jokingly referenced in a later story but never actually made an appearance until now.
Seeing Todo again in the new season was a welcome surprise for fans, especially knowing he’s doing so well with his wife. However, the story would have benefited more from revealing a different character instead. Introducing three other characters would have added greater complexity and richness to the Jujutsu Kaisen universe.
3) Hakari Kinji

Kinji Hakari was a rebellious character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, frequently breaking the rules and challenging the established norms of the jujutsu world as he forged his own way. He always aimed to make his fighting club officially recognized, and chapter 10 of Modulo confirms he succeeded in creating a rule allowing sorcerers to participate in paid fights.
Hakari achieved what he set out to do, but surprisingly wasn’t included in the continuation of the story, even though he significantly impacted the world of jujutsu. It was never revealed if he even died, so showing an older version of him in the bonus chapter would have been a great way to add depth to the story and provide interesting background information, instead of just seeing Todo living a normal life.
2) Gojo Satoru (New Six Eyes User)

Satoru Gojo was a central figure in the series, greatly shaping its world and how power worked. He was born with the unique Six Eyes, a hereditary trait of the Gojo Clan, which gave him incredible control over cursed energy and the powerful Limitless technique. Even after his death in the original story, fans hoped to see more of his backstory explored in the sequel.
A natural way to continue Gojo’s story would have been to introduce a new character with similar powers. Given the sequel is set nearly a hundred years after his death, fans anticipated someone inheriting his abilities. The fact that this didn’t happen makes a new character with those powers the perfect focus for the bonus chapter, demonstrating how the world of jujutsu continues even after Gojo’s time, as the original series established.
1) Megumi Fushiguro

Fans were eager to see what happened to Megumi Fushiguro, and he was one of the most requested characters for a return. Despite being a key member of the main group, the recent continuation of the story only hinted at his fate once, leaving it unclear if he had survived. This uncertainty makes him a natural fit to be the focus of the series’ upcoming bonus chapter.
Megumi’s presence in the bonus chapter could have explained key events surrounding his fate and the Zenin Clan’s situation. As the clan’s leader, his leadership would have been a major development for the jujutsu world. Ultimately, Megumi was a central character throughout the original series, making him the most deserving choice to be featured in the final chapter.
