Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, previously worked on the first five seasons of Supernatural, and he often includes references to the show in his Prime Video series. The most recent example is a Supernatural reunion in Season 5 of The Boys, bringing stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins together – this time as characters who aren’t quite the heroes we remember. A special version of the scene also exists where the actors playfully reprise their original Supernatural roles in a funny new context.
Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins aren’t the only actors from Supernatural who’ve appeared in The Boys. Creator Eric Kripke has consistently cast performers from the original series, including notable names like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jim Beaver, and Rob Benedict. Kripke clearly likes working with actors he knows, and even with Supernatural finished, there’s still potential for more cast members to join The Boys. The upcoming Vought Rising spinoff, focusing on Ackles’ Soldier Boy, and The Boys: Mexico offer further opportunities for Supernatural reunions, and there may be even more expansions to the The Boys universe in the future.
5) Mark Sheppard
Played Crowley in Supernatural

Mark Sheppard, best known for his memorable role as the demon Crowley on Supernatural, is a standout actor who hasn’t yet appeared in The Boys universe. Crowley was a captivating character, often switching between helping and hindering the Winchester brothers, and Sheppard always commanded attention on screen. His talent for both drama and comedy would be a great fit for The Boys. Plus, his strong on-screen connection with Jensen Ackles – who also appears in The Boys – could make a potential reunion in a Vought Rising spin-off particularly enjoyable for viewers.
4) Genevieve Padalecki
Played Ruby in Supernatural

Jared Padalecki’s role as Mister Marathon is a standout in Season 5 of The Boys, and fans would love to see his wife, Genevieve Padalecki, join the show too. The two met while working on the CW series Supernatural, where Genevieve played the demon Ruby. While she hasn’t been in many on-screen roles recently—her last credit was in 2024 on Walker—it would be a great tribute to her Supernatural days if The Boys included her. If Mister Marathon returns, they could even appear together, offering plenty of opportunities for jokes about their characters’ history. Genevieve proved with Ruby that she can play morally gray characters, something The Boys does exceptionally well.
3) Richard Speight Jr.
Played Gabriel in Supernatural

Anyone joining The Boys needs to be funny, and Richard Speight Jr. is definitely a comedic talent. He first showed this in Supernatural Season 2 when he played Gabriel, originally thought to be just a trickster. Those episodes remain some of the show’s funniest, using the same kind of self-aware humor that The Boys does so well. He’d fit perfectly into the new series, even with a smaller part or as a recurring character. It’s surprising he hasn’t been in it yet, but with the upcoming Vought Rising series, there’s still a chance.
2) Mark Pellegrino
Played Lucifer in Supernatural

Mark Pellegrino, known for his role on Supernatural, is already set to appear in The Boys universe, and fans are excited about it. He brilliantly played the intimidating character of Lucifer on Supernatural, demonstrating he’s perfect for the often-villainous world of The Boys. He also has a knack for comedy, which fits well with the tone of the Amazon series. While Deadline announced his casting in Vought Rising last October, his specific role remains a mystery – but he’s sure to deliver a great performance regardless. Plus, there’s a possibility he could share the screen with former Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles!
1) Daneel Ackles
Played Sister Jo in Supernatural

Jensen Ackles’ wife, Daneel Ackles, was on Supernatural for several seasons, and fans are hoping she’ll join him in Vought Rising so they can act together again. While she’s currently working on the One Tree Hill reboot, a quick appearance is possible. It would be a nice connection, given Jensen’s leading role, and could even encourage him to participate in the One Tree Hill continuation – something she’s reportedly been trying to do, though there are no firm plans at this time, according to an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
