A popular anime, currently available on Crunchyroll, is getting a new season five years after its initial revival. Like many other major anime series, it’s making a comeback with fresh content. This trend includes unexpected returns in genres like romance, and now one of the biggest romance anime will continue with a brand new sequel.
The popular anime series The Quintessential Quintuplets concluded its second season in 2021, but the story continued with a movie and specials. Now, a new anime series is in production, adapting the official sequel, The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Four Seasons. This will be the first time the series has returned to television in several years. You can find a first look at the new series below.
The Quintessential Quintuplets Announces New Sequel Anime Series
I’m excited to hear that there are two new anime projects coming for The Quintessential Quintuplets! First, they’re making a sequel TV anime based on the novel The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Four Seasons, which continues the story after the original manga ended. The creator, Haruba, is involved, but Hajime Asano is writing the novel adaptation. And that’s not all – they’re also working on another anime project that will expand on the original manga series itself!
I’m so excited! They’re making more content for The Quintessential Quintuplets! After the anime finished its run with two seasons, it felt like there was still so much story left to tell. Now, they’re releasing a new OVA to adapt some of the parts from the original source that weren’t animated, and even better, a full sequel is on the way! It’s the perfect time to revisit everything that’s happened so far and get ready for more adventures with the Nakano sisters!
How to Catch Up With The Quintessential Quintuplets

As of right now, there’s no news about when the new The Quintessential Quintuplets anime or OVA will be released, or who will be working on it. But don’t worry, you have plenty of time to get caught up! Both seasons of the TV series and the movie that concluded the original story are currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll has recently added special episodes that were previously exclusive to Japan. These four extra episodes adapt more of the original manga and weren’t included in the initial anime release. It looks like we’ll be getting more of these releases soon, which will expand on the story and deepen this ever-growing romance.
