It seems that DayZ is now available for free on the PS Plus Essential package, but it appears as though developers at Bohemia Interactive may not have fully anticipated this move.
The Reddit discussion forum as well as the official platforms for this game are flooded with reports about “BIOS Errors,” which have been causing issues for players in connecting to the game’s servers and enjoying multiplayer survival play.
It seems like the developers haven’t spoken up about the glitches so far, but luckily, it appears that everything ran smoothly last night in-game for me.
Nowadays, Sony doesn’t reveal the exact count of PS Plus subscribers, but in 2022, there were nearly 50 million members enrolled across all tiers.
It’s unlikely that every user would rush to start playing DayZ right away, given their preferences. However, adding it to PS Plus Essential this week is bound to give the game a noticeable increase in players temporarily.
Have you been attempting to play the online survival game? I’d love to hear about your journey so far. If you’ve encountered any issues, like error messages, feel free to share them in the comments below, and I’ll do my best to help!
