Fashion Designer Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra Found Dead on Montauk Yacht

Details about a body discovered at Long Island’s Montauk Yacht Club have come to light.

On August 5th, it was tragically confirmed by the Suffolk County Police Department that Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a renowned fashion designer residing in Manhattan, was discovered deceased on a moored boat at an elite marina.

911 was dialed by a man who discovered an unresponsive 33-year-old woman near midnight. The East Hampton Town Police arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, despite efforts made by others to perform CPR on Nolan-O’Slatarra, she was subsequently declared deceased on the boat, as confirmed by authorities.

As a dedicated lifestyle expert, I’m always keen on uncovering the truth behind various events. In this case, I’ve learned that Suffolk PD is continuing their inquiry into a recent incident, as the initial findings regarding the cause of death were inconclusive. To shed more light on the situation, an autopsy will be performed for a comprehensive understanding.

The Montauk Yacht Club, which occupies a 16-acre waterfront area, conveyed their sympathy after her passing.

A representative shared with CBS News that they were deeply grieved by the unfortunate event that occurred. They are collaborating with authorities as they continue their investigation, and they remain dedicated to ensuring the security and welfare of both their guests and employees.

Nolan-O’Slatarra’s East x East fashion brand, specializing in swimsuits and resort wear, opened a temporary store about two months ago at Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa, which is located approximately six miles from the yacht club.

For the designer, her company was a love letter to New York City and the East End of Long Island.

In a TikTok video posted last April, Nolan-O’Slatarra said, “Our slogan represents a city-born creation, designed for sunshine. It seems to strike a chord with many because at some point in our lives, we all work hard (grind), but ultimately, we all aim for success and happiness (the sun).

She quipped, “I know I am, and pretty much everyone else is, so I think it was very fitting.”

Moving to New York City played a crucial role in Nolan-O’Slatarra’s entrepreneurial path as she hails from Ireland.

She shared with the Irish Independent in February that she was the young woman from a small town, eager to break free to realize her grand aspirations. She had always harbored a desire for success, understood her ambition lay in money-making and business, and recognized fashion as a challenging field, promising a lengthy journey.

In my travels across the United States, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting an amazing new circle of friends, but let me tell you, my buddies back home in Carlow are still my go-to group – the ones I can always rely on.
