Anticipation has been high for quite some time, but it seems we’re only a few weeks from witnessing Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), along with their daughter, embark on European adventures in the upcoming spinoff series, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The premiere is scheduled for September 4, 2025, as per the TV schedule. Although we’re eager to see more, glimpses of the anticipated series have been shared, and following the first sneak peek, NCIS actor Brian Dietzen offered a brief and delightful commentary.

How Did NCIS’ Brian Dietzen Respond After Tony & Ziva First Looks Dropped?
In reality, despite the official announcement of NCIS: Tony & Ziva being made just about a year and a half ago, Tiva enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating a screen reunion of their beloved couple ever since Cote de Pablo left her role as mysterious super-agent Ziva in 2013. Given that both she and Michael Weatherly returned to NCIS after their roles as series regulars ended, but never shared a scene together, fans are thrilled beyond measure at the prospect of the new streaming show.
So, they probably all have the same feeling as Brian Dietzen did when the Tony & Ziva first looks hit Instagram. He responded to the post with only two words, but I think they fit everyone’s mood perfectly:
Hell yes! 🙌
You bet!” It seems clear that all Tiva fans share Dietzen’s excitement, as evidenced not only by the enthusiastic comments on the same post from other fans, but also because when the Tony & Ziva trailer was initially released, it garnered an astonishing 93 million views in just the first five days.
In a thrilling series of events, Ziva and Tony find themselves sharing parental duties for their daughter Tali in Paris, with Tony also managing a security business. However, this isn’t your typical family sitcom. Their peaceful life soon turns upside down as they find themselves on the run, trying to uncover who poses a threat to them all while navigating their relationship, having been apart for so long.
Michael Weatherly was asked by Cote de Pablo for something specific before they both agreed to reprise their roles as Tony and Ziva. However, she understood that she would need to work hard to achieve it.
Although the series won’t be airing alongside its predecessor on CBS’s fall 2025-2026 schedule, there’s no question that fans will eagerly tune in when the show premieres on Paramount+ within a month. After all, who wouldn’t be thrilled by a high-spirited, spy-inspired adventure featuring our beloved on-and-off couple and their charming daughter as the main characters? Mark your calendars for September 4 to witness how everything unfolds!
