In October, the animated series “Hazbin Hotel” will return on Amazon, with Charlie Morningstar and her fellow denizens of the underworld embarking on season two’s adventures. Previously, it was revealed that in addition to Charlie’s story, Prime Video would also host another SpindleHorse-produced series called “Helluva Boss.” The animators from both shows are hinting at some major announcements at this year’s Animate! Orlando convention, which is happening sooner than expected. So, get ready Hellaverse fans, as it seems we’re in store for something significant!
On August 9th (Saturday), Vivienne Medrano, the mastermind behind Hellaverse, is all set to unveil more than just a sneak peek into the making of her series. She also hints at showing something extraordinary. Accompanying Medrano are Skye Henwood (Episode Director for Hazbin Hotel), Sam Miller (Art Director for Hazbin Hotel), Mel Mrozek (Animation Director for Helluva Boss), Amanda Heard (Art Director for Helluva Boss), and Tony Raphielle Somerville (Storyboard director for SpindleHorse). Animate! Orlando has suggested that a highly anticipated special guest will be part of this panel. Fortunately, if you can’t be there in person, the event will be streamed live on YouTube, which you can access through the video below.
The Hellaverse Expands
Medrano released a statement about the upcoming panel, expressing eagerness from The SpindleHorse Team to offer a glimpse into their inner workings and reveal future plans for the studio. Moreover, they are thrilled to share an exclusive sneak peek at something extraordinary they’ve been developing!
As the President and Founder of Animate! Orlando’s parent company, we are thrilled beyond words to be hosting the SpindleHorse panel. The enthusiasm among Hellaverse fans is palpable at the moment, and this panel promises to be an unmissable spectacle for both fanatics and media personnel alike.
The Hellaverse Crossover on The Way
The significant unveiling might involve the fusion of the realms from “Helluva Boss” and “Hazbin Hotel”. Previously, the architects behind the Hellaverse have hinted at a union between the hotel and I.M.P., although not in the manner that fans typically anticipate. Voice actor Brandon Rogers, who gives life to Blitzo, has discussed the crossover event associated with the Amazon Prime Video announcement and his strategy for addressing queries regarding the upcoming collaboration.
Reading the script was surreal; it wasn’t until I arrived at the studio that I truly grasped its content. Seeing Blitz and Charlie’s names side by side gave me a strange sensation, like ‘wow, this is actually happening.’ Almost every time I attend a convention, someone approaches me to inquire about the crossover, wanting to know what will happen next. Can you imagine if I revealed it here and now, telling you that you’re 14 years old? It’s fascinating that so many people are eager to know, as it shows they’re deeply invested in it.
