Starting July 3, the game collection Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics on the Nintendo Switch (version 2) will include the popular title Super Mario Strikers, according to Nintendo’s recent announcement for subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Here is an overview of the game, via Nintendo:
The initial installment in the “Mario Strikers” series, launched for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005, is called “Super Mario Strikers“. It’s an intense soccer game where rules are flexible. Choose your leader from popular characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, and Waluigi from the Mushroom Kingdom. Engage in various game modes such as Rivalry Matches, Tournaments, and Custom Battles. In this setting, games are fast-paced and high-energy, with no referees to impose penalties. Instead, the chaos is kept in check by an electric fence encircling the field!
In addition to gathering common items such as shells and mushrooms to enhance your gameplay, the real secret to victory lies in the Super Strike: a potent shot that awards you two points at once! As you improve your skills, deliver strong strikes and summon Chain Chomp onto the field to score goals and overpower your opponents. With easy-to-use controls, players can join solo or team up locally for two-player matches or engage in online multiplayer games with up to four participants.
