Jason Kelce is being honest about a recent change.
Following observations by fans that NFL alum Jason’s beard seemed significantly darker brown in promotions for Taylor Swift’s forthcoming appearance on his and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Jason took to addressing the buzz himself.
Indeed, following Ryan Fitzpatrick’s light-hearted comment about feeling “betrayed” by his transformation, Jason responded on August 12 with a reassurance: “Rest assured, the dye had a valid purpose. Please, don’t dislike me for it.
It seems that while Jason hasn’t explicitly stated the cause behind his transformation, fans of “New Heights” are speculating that it could be connected to their August 13th episode.
One fan posted on X, ‘I had to dress well for the episode because we all understand that it will be remembered as a significant moment in history.’
It’s not just Jason’s darker facial hair that fans have noticed in the promotional materials for “New Heights” – these previews also piqued interest due to Taylor’s upcoming appearance as a guest.
Besides the silhouette looking like Taylor, another significant hint that fans noticed was the change in background color to orange in the promotional graphic. This deviated from the typical color palette of the podcast, leading viewers to suspect that the unusual color choice might signal a new phase or era anticipated from Taylor.
Additionally, the vibrant orange backdrop became particularly striking following the Taylor Nation social media platforms’ sharing of 12 images showcasing Taylor sporting orange ensembles during her Eras Tour. Her captivating caption read, “Reminiscing about when she said ‘I’ll see you in the next era…'”.
Turns out, some fan theories were spot-on when it was confirmed that Taylor would indeed be the special guest later that day, as shared through the podcast’s social media accounts. Later on, the podcast released another update hinting at a new phase commencing.
At 12:12 a.m. ET on August 12th, Taylor posted a video on Instagram, and she said, “I wanted to share something with you. This is my latest album, titled The Life of a Showgirl.
Upon making the announcement, she took out a vinyl featuring a pixelated cover art from a stylish mint green briefcase adorned with orange lettering, signifying her 12th studio album.
Later, Jason excitedly yelled out, as Travis got pumped up about his girlfriend regarding their new 2023 project. He exclaimed, “TS12!!!”
Jason let out a thrilling yell, while Travis showed excitement about his girlfriend’s role in the 2023 project they were working on. He shouted, “TS12!!!”
Or:
After Jason cheered loudly, Travis became more animated about his girlfriend and their upcoming 2023 project, yelling out, “TS12!!”
All three sentences convey the same idea while providing a natural and easy-to-read paraphrase.
