Bindi Irwin is getting candid about her health.
The star of the show “Crikey! It’s The Irwins” discussed her recent hospital stay, revealing that she needed some time off to prioritize her own health and wellness. During this time, she dealt with several physical problems, one of which was a hernia from childbirth that was worsening.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram dated August 13th, Bindi, who is the mother of Grace Warrior (4 years old) with her husband Chandler Powell, shared that she has been seeking answers for 13 long years. During this time, she underwent two surgeries to remove numerous endometriosis lesions, a chocolate cyst, and her appendix. Now, she can joyfully declare that she is finally experiencing improvement in her health, truly on the road to recovery.
For over a decade, the 27-year-old endured endometriosis – a condition where tissue grows abnormally outside the uterus – silently. Now, with the right treatment, she is able to live her daily life comfortably without feeling the urge to vomit or faint due to pain.
Gradually regaining my power, she added. The depth of my feelings is hard to put into words, but I’m starting to feel like myself once more.
Moving forward, Bindi expressed her intention to break the taboo surrounding women’s health discussions by openly sharing her personal experiences.
As a teenager and young adult, I was deeply embarrassed when told my pain was simply a part of being female,” she continued. “I felt diminished, hurt, powerless. This is unacceptable. Young women should not bear their pain in isolation, as if they’re navigating their lives with an empty gas tank.
As an ardent fan, I must share that in the heart of May, my beloved conservationist, Bindi, found herself facing an unforeseen challenge: an emergency surgery. This unexpected turn of events regrettably kept her from attending a tribute gala honoring her iconic dad, Steve Irwin. The operation wasn’t just about fixing her hernia; it also involved the removal of her appendix and a staggering 14 endometriosis lesions.
Two years later, the health challenge arose for Bindi, following another surgical procedure to extract 37 endometriosis growths and a cyst from her body.
In my heartfelt message on May 12th on Instagram, I expressed my deep gratitude for the aid that came my way when I truly needed it. Now, fortunately, I’m making progress towards healing and recovery.
Expressing gratitude, Bindi acknowledged the support from her dear ones, namely her brother Robert Irwin and mother Terri Irwin. She further shared that she approaches each new day with patience and perseverance.
“Time to heal now,” she added. “Sending my love to you all.”

To give some context, about two to three weeks ago, or perhaps a month ago, he was squatting around 295 pounds. However, at present, I’m unable to do a single-leg squat, even on one foot. Without hesitation, @thebrendanrooney took action, evaluated my injuries, and swiftly transported me to the hospital. I was wounded in five spots, one of which was a mere inch away from directly hitting my right eye.
As an overly enthusiastic fanboy might put it: “Well, you know, I’m like Kim Possible’s biggest fan, and here’s what happened – a piece ended up stuck behind my peeper, and they reckon it’s too risky to yank it out with surgery right now. So, the medics are keeping an eye on me, and for now, I can see just fine!

Recalling her “puffier” face, she joked about people relaxing, but then medical professionals chimed in with comments suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome due to abnormal cortisol levels or steroid injections. When she realized she had been receiving these steroid injections following cosmetic procedures, it led to her diagnosis of Cushing syndrome, a condition she may not have discovered without the intense scrutiny on the internet. In March 2022, Hailey Bieber, the skincare entrepreneur, had a terrifying experience during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber. She began exhibiting symptoms similar to a stroke, causing her to lose the ability to speak and noticeable drooping on one side of her face. Justin inquired about her well-being, but Hailey couldn’t respond because she was unsure. After another attempt to speak, she found herself unable to form sentences.
Hailey shared this story a month later on YouTube, revealing that the facial drooping subsided, and her speech returned. However, she sought medical attention out of caution. A series of scans revealed Hailey had experienced a small brain clot known as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA).
Upon further investigation at the University of California, Los Angeles, doctors discovered a hole in Hailey’s heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). They explained that the blood clot had passed through this hole from her heart to her brain, causing the TIA.
Following a successful PFO closure procedure, Hailey reported feeling well.
In the same year that Hailey encountered a health scare, Justin Bieber also faced a similar challenge. Specifically, in June 2022, the “Baby” singer announced his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition affecting the facial nerves and leading to temporary paralysis. This condition forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour. In an Instagram video, Justin described the condition as a virus attacking the nerve in his ear and causing his face to become paralyzed. As a result, he was unable to blink one eye, smile on one side of his face, or move one nostril. He also shared that eating had become progressively difficult but eventually, the paralysis subsided. Hailey reassured their followers on Good Morning America that Justin is doing well and recovering nicely. Although it was a frightening and unexpected situation, they are optimistic that he will make a full recovery.

Unfortunately, before I could take it, I fainted and lost consciousness for about 20 days.”
The doctor who first attended to him administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, but Jamie’s sister, Deidra Dixon, noticed something was wrong and took him to another hospital. There, they discovered he had suffered a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.
Twenty days after the operation, Foxx woke up on May 4 in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
“I can only express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “as I know I needed all of them.
In 2019, Emilia Clarke, best known for her role in Game of Thrones, penned an essay titled “A Battle for My Life” for The New Yorker. This essay detailed a harrowing incident that occurred while she was at the gym:
In the middle of a workout, Emilia suffered a severe headache and collapsed in the restroom, vomiting profusely. The intense pain, described as shooting, stabbing, and constricting, led her to suspect brain damage.
Subsequently, she was rushed to the hospital for a brain scan which revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a potentially fatal type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, or arterial rupture.
Emilia underwent immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, describing the pain as unbearable. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia and began to speak nonsense. However, her aphasia subsided after a week, and she was discharged from the hospital a month later.
In 2013, another brain scan revealed that a growth had doubled in size, necessitating a second surgery. During this procedure, doctors had to access her brain through her skull due to complications.
Fortunately, Emilia is now reportedly at full health.

Currently, Cori is recovering well. She declared, “I’m doing great now. I had to focus on regaining some motor skills, but apart from that, I was in good shape.

Various doctors gave different diagnoses, creating a confusing situation for her.
Despite this, Shailene, who has a background in holistic medicine, decided to find answers by consulting both conventional doctors and independent healers. This search took a decade, during which she experienced other challenges related to her physical discomfort. These included fear of food, body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and feelings of insecurity within her own body.
However, after addressing both her physical and mental health issues, Shailene is now in good health. She shared that her long journey ultimately led to her recovery, and she’s happy to say she’s healthy today.
