Taylor Swift is sharing how she helped her father through a delicate procedure.

Taylor Swift revealed earlier this year that she has been living with her father, Scott Swift, to assist him after his quintuple bypass operation. He expressed profound appreciation as he progressed in his recovery.

She remarked during the August 13 episode of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast that he was truly a most charming patient. He continually expressed his gratitude, she added.

In fact, although Taylor, aged 35, acknowledged that the surgery was extremely intensive, she also highlighted that Scott, at 73 years old, was remarkably lucky to have detected his condition early enough for appropriate treatment.

The singer shared that he has annually received clean EKG results during his physical examinations. However, it was a resting stress test that revealed five blocked areas in his heart. He’s been urging his friends to undergo a stress test as well, emphasizing its preventive benefits. If these potential issues are detected early, bypass surgery might not be necessary.

Regarding the medical procedure, Taylor shared that her father was remarkably improving after the operation, pointing out that his wit and humor were very much present.

She jokingly remarked that he was funnier than ever before, considering his knack for humor. Regarding the health issue, she said, ‘Dad, you underwent a quintuple bypass surgery, which means five blockages were removed. That’s quite remarkable! It’s more than we anticipated.’ To this, he responded with a laugh, ‘Well, you see, I come from a very competitive family.’

Apart from Scott’s operation, Taylor mentioned that her mother Andrea Swift had also recently gone through a similar treatment.

Taylor reported, “My mother recently had a new knee replacement. She’s doing wonderfully; she’s even moving about quite actively. While she may not be fully mobile like that just yet, she’s progressing well.

During her time in Florida, Taylor referred to her current phase as the “summer of parental improvements.” She acknowledged that taking care of both her mother and father brought a profoundly meaningful reward.
