The Detroit Lions’ quarterback delivered the most delightful reply after Taylor Swift mentioned him during her extensive, two-hour interview on Travis Kelce’s podcast, ‘New Heights,’ co-hosted by Jason Kelce. During this conversation, Taylor discussed a wide range of topics including NFL games, her favorite pastimes reminiscent of a grandma, and her upcoming album titled “The Life of a Showgirl.

During a press conference on August 14th, Jared shared with reporters that the previous night had been quite an exciting and unexpected experience for him and his phone, adding humorously that he wasn’t prepared for the influx of messages about the mention. He compared it to feeling pleasantly surprised, saying something along the lines of “Wow!” and found it quite intriguing.

Certainly, the NFL player received an unexpected acknowledgment from Taylor during a humorous exchange regarding her limited understanding of football, which unfolded during their initial date with Travis.

During our chat, the Grammy-winning artist acknowledged Jared and Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen, admitting that she initially thought that the offensive players from both NFL teams were playing simultaneously when they were in competition.

During the August 13th podcast episode, she explained, “It seemed as if both Jared Goff and Josh Allen were present. Then suddenly, a whistle blew and they engaged in competition with one another.

That theory prompted Taylor to pose an amusing query to Travis concerning the 2023 Super Bowl, in which his Kansas City Chiefs triumphed impressively over his brother Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles.

In Taylor’s own words, he mentioned that he asked another person about their experience during the Super Bowl match between the Chiefs and Eagles. As he did so, he noticed his brother was just a few feet away on the field.

It turned out later that the question posed was quite absurd since Travis, being a tight end, and Jason, who retired as a center in March 2024, had never faced off against each other physically during the game as they played different positions.

Gratefully, Travis, who shares the same age of 35, took the blunder in stride at the time. According to Taylor, he replied casually, “In fact, my brother and I are both on the offensive team. I’m only playing alongside the defensive team.

These days, Taylor has been delving deeper into the world of football, openly acknowledging her newfound fascination.

Indeed, Travis expressed his appreciation for her enthusiasm towards his sport too. He said during the episode, “I’m eternally grateful that you immersed yourself so deeply in the world of football.

According to their love story, Travis Kelce caught Taylor Swift’s attention when he discussed his disappointment about not being able to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it during the Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023, as he shared this on the New Heights podcast.

In essence, Taylor stated that Travis didn’t initiate contact with her representatives for arranging a potential get-together from the start.

In a 2025 episode of New Heights, she playfully remarked, “Since he knows the elevator attendant personally, he assumed he could simply discuss access to my dressing room with her.” Or, alternatively, “In the August 2025 New Heights episode, she joked, ‘Because he’s acquainted with the elevator lady, he figured he could casually ask about visiting my dressing room.’

As for the friendship bracelet, Taylor said she’s still “never seen the original.”

Travis shared the specific instance when he felt drawn to date Taylor, explaining on his podcast that if he hadn’t attended that concert, been enchanted by her performance, and felt compelled to meet her, he wouldn’t have expressed his feelings so publicly about being disappointed.

Speaking about his fascination with Taylor, the athlete expressed, “Watching how you can whip up such fervor in a whole stadium is mind-blowing. Then, when we’re alone, it feels as if we’ve been friends for ages.

It was a sentiment shared by Taylor, who responded, “I felt the same exact way about you.”

“Whatever Andy Reid says, we’re gonna stand by,” Taylor responded. “That’s what happened.”

It’s known that her father, Scott Swift, has a lengthy friendship with the coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. As a result, Andy has been attending her concerts for quite some time now.

Taylor shared that her father, who is exceptionally sociable, has always instilled in her a very optimistic feeling whenever she interacts with someone named Andy.

And let me tell you, when he shared his perspective, it was as if time stood still. He turned his gaze across the field, and there, just five feet away, stood his brother – a moment etched forever in my hero’s memory.

Two years after, Taylor acknowledged that her query about the brothers playing together simultaneously was rather absurd, given they never shared the field due to their respective positions. However, Travis took his time to elucidate the game, sparking in Taylor an enduring interest and love for the sport.

She shared that he had mentioned, “‘In reality, I’m playing offensively while my brother does too. However, I’m only on the field with the defensive team,'” she recalled, adding that she had initially assumed everyone played together at once.

During her announcement, Taylor revealed that her upcoming 12th album, titled “The Life of a Showgirl“, is set to release on October 3, 2025. To maintain high quality, she has carefully chosen only 12 tracks for the album, ensuring it’s perfectly balanced with an overall theme. Consequently, there won’t be any additional songs added to this collection.

The inspiration was about going “behind the curtain” of the Eras Tour.

Taylor mentioned that this album reflected the private events unfolding within his personal life during the tour, as it was full of energy, excitement, and vividness off-stage.

She went on to say that the music originated from a deeply joyful, exuberant, and intense period in her life, which is why it’s filled with such lively energy on the album.

During her time away from her tour, Taylor collaborated with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden to develop catchy tunes, including the title track featuring Sabrina Carpenter who opened for her on the Eras Tour.

Travis openly acknowledged that he’s listened to all twelve of these songs, which he referred to as “powerful hits.” Apart from “The Life of a Showgirl,” the tunes will also include “The Destiny of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor’s Story,” “Opalite’s Tale,” “Father Figure,” “Eldest Daughter’s Journey,” “Ruining a Friendship,” “A Real Romance,” “Wishlist,” “Woodland Tales,” “Cancelled!” and “Honey.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but point out one striking trait about Travis: his unwavering bond with the same friends since he was barely four! Taylor often makes homemade bread and frequently messages her friends asking, “May I deliver some bread to you?” She admitted that she’s deeply engaged in sourdough blogging communities, discovering that there’s an entire network of fellow enthusiasts she was previously unaware of.

 

Taylor Swift, known for her love of baking, has been working diligently to develop a fresh type of sourdough bread, which she plans to share with Jason and Kylie Kelce’s little girls Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley.

She shared that she had been developing a particular recipe specifically for the girls, who adore anything with rainbows: it’s called Rainbow Funfetti Sourdough. This is because they are fond of sprinkles, and whenever we spend time together, we always add some sprinkles to our creations.

Beyond the bread, Taylor formed connections with Jason’s daughters not only through conversations but also by sharing a common love for their cats – Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.

She stated, “For those familiar with the fandom, Easter eggs should be something hidden that goes unnoticed by others if they are listening to the music in a typical manner. If you get it, you know what I’m talking about.

According to Taylor, the idea of having Travis join her on stage all started out as a “bit.”

In my own words, I’d describe this album as a reflection of the hidden emotions and experiences I encountered throughout the tour. It was a whirlwind of energy, excitement, and vitality, but there was also an underlying narrative that unfolded within me during those moments.

That’s why Taylor said the album is filled with “bangers.” 

She mentioned that the source of the music is deeply rooted in the most contagious, exuberant, and turbulent phase of her life. Consequently, the joyfulness in the recording is evident.

She shared that the cover artwork, captures by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot (who were also involved in her Reputation photoshoot), portrays her emotional state following a night of performance on the Eras Tour, as she stepped into a bath at its conclusion.

Later on, you might find yourself wide awake past 4 o’clock at night, Taylor mused. After all, you navigated through fifty million hurdles in the challenging relay race that is your performance. Remarkably, you managed to add two more victories to your tally, and tonight was one of them.

The superstar preferred a behind-the-scenes photo rather than one capturing her as a showgirl, as “this album isn’t primarily focused on my stage antics. It delves into my offstage experiences… This, in essence, reflects the true themes lyrically portrayed in the album.

She straightforwardly stated, “We don’t engage in that. Whatever you input into your mind, it tends to take root. Conversely, whatever you contribute to the internet, it can often cause harm. After two decades in the music industry, it’s challenging for me to be offended now.

Indeed, Taylor humorously commented, “Even if something centers around me and my name is right there in the title, it doesn’t mean it’s any of my concern.

Instead of maintaining a very minimal presence on social media, implying a healthy balance, the singer mentioned that she often takes extended breaks from the internet, emphasizing a significant level of detachment.

In summer 2025, Taylor reported that she spent time with her father after his quintuple bypass surgery. She praised him as the “most delightful patient” and stated that he’s been thriving wonderfully since the operation.

She commented that he seemed even funnier than usual after his surgery. Regarding his health, she was surprised to learn about the five blocked arteries in him, which she found astonishing as they had anticipated fewer issues. However, he took it in stride, attributing it to his competitive family background.

Andrea has also been “doing great” after getting a new knee this summer, according to Taylor.

The Miss Americana star expressed that her parents are two dear friends of hers whom she truly cherishes. She went on to say that one of the most memorable experiences in her life was spending an entire summer with them.
