Although Batman is often credited for possessing the most impressive vehicles, it’s important to note that not all exceptional vehicles belong to him. While he does have iconic rides such as the Batmobile and the Batwing, there are many other vehicles worth mentioning. The Batmobile may be functional and stylish, but it doesn’t define the entire spectrum of cool comic book vehicles. To give due recognition to others, we’ve identified some outstanding vehicles that aren’t associated with Batman or his family. In fact, the world of comics is filled with an array of intriguing cars, planes, and other vehicles, including a few that are downright humorous.
Here are the seven best vehicles that comics that aren’t related to Batman.
7) Thanos-Copter
Although it might not be top-tier, the Thanos-Copter is undeniably iconic and has an unmistakable presence, both in comics and on screen. Despite the unclear necessity for a villain like Thanos to have a helicopter, the absurdity of it adds a delightful humor to his character. The unusual combination makes it a standout, and we would welcome more of these humorous instances in future appearances.
6) Hawkeye’s Sky Cycle
Though it ranks sixth on the list, the Sky Cycle ridden by Hawkeye captures our attention as the most intriguing ride: The Sky Cycle of Hawkeye. Its straightforward design adds to its appeal, and its practicality is an added bonus. Aiding him in remarkable archery shots, this vehicle embodies both style and functionality. Navigating the skies has never been more stylish than from the Sky Cycle.
One potential rephrase: The primary downside, without making a joke, is that as we move forward in time, this vehicle grows increasingly lifelike. At first, when it debuted in comics, it was extremely stylish and futuristic, especially with its extended footrests. Nowadays, it seems like something that might transition from the page to real life. In a way, that’s quite intriguing if you pause to consider it.
5) The Arrowcar
As a devoted film and comic book aficionado, let me share my thoughts about the Arrowcar – yes, it’s as quirky as they come, but there’s something undeniably charming about it. Despite being undeniably reminiscent of Batman’s vehicles in its emerald hue, this arrow-shaped wonder exudes a playful Silver Age campiness whenever it graces our screens. Unfortunately, those moments are far too rare these days. Yet, I eagerly hope for another comeback of the Arrowcar in the future, even if it seems somewhat out of place with Chris Condon’s current setup. It might not be the most logical choice for an archer to have a supercar, but after seeing this one, I can’t help but wish for more.
4) The Blackbird
Among comic book aircraft, the X-Men’s Blackbird certainly stands out. Capable of traveling worldwide at astonishing speeds, this jet is as elegant as it is swift. Designed by Beast, its design rivals that of other ships, and it challenges the Quinjet of the Avengers in terms of performance. Moreover, it can even traverse space – making it incredibly versatile. Though it might not be the most renowned plane, it certainly has its share of allure. While it may not be the most famous jet, it undoubtedly shines in its own right within the Marvel universe.
3) The Hell Cycle
In my view, among all the Ghost Riders, I find Danny Ketch’s motorcycle to be the most stylish. Unlike other Ghost Riders whose vehicles undergo transformations based on their host, Danny’s bike appears to have a unique and menacing design, resembling a beast itself. The front portion of the bike, in particular, stands out with its distinctive shape. Furthermore, the fiery aesthetic it carries adds to its overall monstrous appearance, making it look nothing short of incredible. While any vehicle ridden by Ghost Rider could potentially fit this description, Danny’s bike seems to excel due to its exceptional design.
2) The Invisible Jet
Within the realm of DC comics, the Invisible Jet stands out as Wonder Woman’s most impressive aircraft. It adds an intriguing element to her story and has become one of her iconic possessions. Regardless of its origins, it remains one of the coolest aspects associated with her character. The Invisible Jet has managed to endure for a considerable period, and fans would be disappointed if it were ever to disappear. For swift and covert travel across continents, this stealthy aircraft possesses a certain allure. As long as Wonder Woman can keep track of its location, it serves its purpose well enough for enthusiasts.
1) Fantasticar
Regardless of whether it resembles a bathtub or cars, the Fantasticar stands out as the coolest non-Batmobile vehicle without contest. Its ability to hover and fly was impressive enough, but its unique feature of splitting into various ships significantly increases its appeal. Transforming into multiple shapes throughout its existence, this vehicle has always been cool from the start and remains impressive today. Each version of the Fantasticar is flawless, making it our top choice.
