I’m Hyped For Paradise Season 2 After Sterling K. Brown’s Wrap Video, But One Comment Got Me Sad All Over Again About Season 1’s Big Death

Spoilers ahead for Season 1 of Paradise. Stream the series now with a Hulu subscription.

It wasn’t entirely unexpected that “Paradise” would be on my TV schedule in 2025, given Dan Fogelman and Sterling K. Brown’s track record of delivering quality shows. Yet, I wasn’t prepared for the emotional impact this political thriller/disaster series would have on me, similar to how “This Is Us” does. I’m excitedly looking forward to see more from this Emmy-nominated show, and fans just received some exciting news straight from Sterling K. Brown himself.

The second season of “Paradise” has come to an end, as Sterling K. Brown announced on Instagram. Although we still have some time before the new episodes air, I can’t help but feel excited about where the story might be headed – that is, until I stumbled upon a comment that stirred up old feelings about that major Season 1 death. Let me share SKB’s video with you first:

Sterling K. Brown casually wandered around the set, expressing gratitude to fans for joining him and his co-stars on their journey so far. He hinted that they’re aiming to deliver something just as captivating, if not more, in Season 2 of Paradise. The day was a mix of emotions for the Oscar-nominated actor, but he also expressed eagerness for us to witness their efforts in the upcoming season and even voiced hopes for a potential third season!

Congratulations, Big Boss!! 🍾

Instead of asking repetitively, you could say something like: “What’s the reason behind Jon Beavers acting this way towards me? His character’s death in Season 1 had left quite an impact, and I wasn’t prepared to be reminded of it.

In my previous statements, I expressed my belief that James Marsden’s character Cal was the most heart-wrenching from Season 1, a sentiment I still hold true. However, since we were already aware that President Bradford would be murdered, his demise wasn’t as surprising. Instead, it was the moment when Billy Pace, a fellow agent, was killed by his girlfriend Jane Driscoll (portrayed by Nicole Brydon Bloom), that left many viewers in shock and dismay.

Several fans replied to his comment to share their own grief over the loss of Billy, writing:

  • Xavier BETTER have found Billy’s long lost twin brother out there! – @mamasheesh
  • [Jon Beavers] I hope you were just playing dead in season 1 – @bethwilliamsss014
  • We are Ok with a Billy clone as well. – @iggy_the_dissectologist

For those familiar with Dan Fogelman’s popular series “This Is Us,” it’s worth noting that an actor’s departure from the show doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t appear again. So, it remains to be seen if Jon Beavers, as well as James Marsden, will reappear in the upcoming series titled “Paradise.

It’s been confirmed that Shailene Woodley is joining the cast for Season 2. Meanwhile, Xavier Collins from SKB, played by someone, is about to emerge from underground in search of his wife and other survivors. It seems that Sinatra’s supposed paradise below ground might be on the verge of spiraling into complete chaos. I’m absolutely excited!

Paradise Season 2 is expected to hit Hulu in 2026.
