Betty White wasn’t afraid to speak her mind in her golden years.
David Boreanaz, known for his role on Bones, shared a humorous anecdote about a memorable encounter he had with the late actress from The Golden Girls, who guest-starred on the series together with Emily Deschanel in 2015.
According to him, during a panel at the Television Festival on August 16th, as reported by People, he recollected that she arrived at the diner and was escorted inside by car. He then identified her as Ms. White and introduced her politely to everyone present.
David, who is 56 years old, went on to say, “Emily and I are anticipating her arrival. Upon seeing her, she commented, ‘It’s great to see you! You’re so kind. So attractive.’ She then turned to Emily, saying, ‘You’re beautiful.’
Despite being more than four decades her junior, the actor confided that Betty’s usually sweet nature seemed to change when she addressed him directly.
He quoted, “Oh my goodness, I’m really attracted to you. I’m really attracted to you!” and then he burst into laughter. (This paraphrase attempts to convey the original sentiment without using explicit language.)
Emily didn’t catch the comment, but she didn’t deny that it occurred, as the group playfully discussed Betty’s legendary actions.
Indeed, Betty was renowned for her delightful wit and humor. During one of her final interviews prior to her passing at the ripe age of 99 in 2021, she imparted some wisdom on how to live a fulfilling life: “Remember not to take yourself too seriously.

Back in January 2021, when I chatted with People magazine, I shared that I’m all about maintaining a cheerful vibe! In my own words, ‘Embracing the positive side just makes life way more enjoyable!’
Ultimately, the life advice she wanted to share with others was simple.
In simpler terms, she emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive outlook, using humor whenever possible, and avoiding dwelling on negativity because it consumes a lot of energy.
