Charlize Theron Calls Out Raya Dates for Lying About Their Jobs

To Charlize Theron, the online dating scene is drearier than the Wasteland.

In fact, the actor from “Mad Max: Fury Road” revealed some details about her personal relationships, mentioning that she didn’t find much success while using the well-known celebrity dating app, Raya.

Charlize mentioned during her appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with Andy Cohen on June 26 that someone had encouraged her to join, but she only went on two dates and then sort of… It’s as if every man has a photo from Burning Man, yet they are CEOs of nothing or fitness gurus in reality.

Despite these types of careers being common among many, the 49-year-old found it particularly aggravating – even infuriating – when someone falsely claimed to share similar interests.

After encountering them, it turns out they’re not a CEO, as the star of Atomic Blonde pointed out. They simply state it from the start. So my question is, why did you list that on your profile? And no, I don’t appreciate it.

On more than one occasion, Charlize – mother of Jackson (11 years old) and August (9 years old) – has openly discussed her love life. Notably, this esteemed Oscar winner has admitted that she’s suppressed her emotions in order to sustain certain relationships in the past.

She shared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in January 2021 that she felt incredibly lucky to have been brought up by such a strong mother. Growing up with her instilled a sense of strength within her. However, during her 20s and early 30s, she attempted to diminish herself in relationships, thinking it was the key to solving problems.

Currently, Charlize refers to such instances as “absurd,” implying that she’s grown to “realize her full capabilities.” Moreover, by finding and using her own voice, she now avoids entering into harmful relationships.

She emphasized, “You need a substantial amount of charm.” Translating it into something like, “You should possess an impressive level of charisma, more than just ‘things are going well for me, so you need to match and perhaps surpass that, because I won’t settle for anything less.'” She added, “I’m content with my life, my children, and the extraordinary family I’ve adopted. I don’t yearn for much more.
