Torchwood star’s “twisting” new thriller The Guest confirms release date – with extra treat for fans

The BBC has revealed that Eve Myles’ newest drama series, “The Guest,” will soon be available for fans to watch on both TV and the BBC iPlayer.

The plot of The Guest focuses on the complex and alluring dynamic between successful entrepreneur Fran (played by Myles) and one of her employees, Gabrielle Creevy from Black Doves, named Ria.

Ria has never given thought to what she desires from life due to a lack of time or opportunity. However, upon cleaning for Fran, she finds herself captivated by Fran’s self-assured demeanor and encouragement to take charge of her life. As Ria begins to thrive under Fran’s influence, a deep friendship forms between the two.

Although when Fran’s guidance results in an unexpected and startling incident, the lives of these two distinct individuals find a common bond through hidden truths and risky schemes. The subsequent events unfold as a gripping and intricate dance between hunter and prey. Yet it remains unclear as to who is the predator and who is the prey.

On BBC One at 9 pm on Monday, 1st September, the much-anticipated thriller, known for its intense and intricate plotlines, is set to debut.

Additionally, fans eagerly tuning in will find the entire series ready for streaming on iPlayer as a box set on the very same night, offering a delightful option for those who enjoy a midweek marathon viewing session.

Alongside Myles and Creevy, the four-part series additionally features Sion Daniel Young, known from Lost Boys and Fairies; Emun Elliott, recognized for Guilt; Bethan Mary-James, famed for Death Valley; Julian Lewis Jones, who has appeared in House of the Dragon; Joseph Ollman, best known as Queenie’s cast member; Clive Russell, renowned from The Witcher; and Catherine Ayers, acclaimed for her work on The Way.

The miniseries was penned by Matthew Barry, known for his work on hit dramas like Industry and Men Up, with Ashley Way, the director of Who Is Erin Carter?, overseeing production from behind the camera.
