After much anticipation, it appears that Team Cherry’s long-awaited game Hollow Knight: Silksong finally has a confirmed release date! As suspected following the surprise “special announcement” trailer, the game is set to launch on September 4th across multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and even the rumored Nintendo Switch 2.
The trailer showcases fresh gameplay, featuring over 200 distinct enemy types and more than 40 legendary bosses. In this game, players assume the role of Hornet, who is abducted and transported to the ghostly kingdom of Pharloom. After managing to break free, Hornet chooses not to return to Hallownest but instead decides to aid the inhabitants of Pharloom instead.
During its agile performances, Hornet not only employs innovative methods but also utilizes novel equipment such as the Straight Pin, resembling a throwing knife, and the destructive Silkspear. Throughout their journey, players may find themselves crafting various tools, thereby expanding Hornet’s arsenal of skills.
At Gamescom, which runs until August 24th, you can already experience the game Hollow Knight: Silksong at both the Xbox and Nintendo booths. Keep an eye out for further updates leading up to its launch.
