She felt, ‘If she can balance on a slim beam under the weight of the world’s expectations, then I can send the ball onto this court.’ This thought gave me some peace, knowing her story and the struggles she faced mentally. She is truly inspiring, and her resilience positively impacted me today.
In fact, at the event, the 28-year-old Olympic gymnast was present when Coco complimented her skills. Notably, the cameras captured her response, which consisted of a smile and a loud declaration of “I love you!” In turn, Coco responded by creating a heart shape with her hands to express her affection.
Instead of ending there, the Grand Slam champion disclosed that she continued exchanging kind words with Simone following their intense match.
Coco said during another post-match discussion with reporters, “She’s among the top-tier athletes we have.” She added, “In my personal Mount Rushmore of athletes, she and Serena Williams are etched. Witnessing her perform tonight served as a powerful reminder for me. I had just spoken to her beforehand, so I was able to express this appreciation in person.
In a manner reminiscent of their previous encounter, their meeting was equally heartwarming. A short clip captured from this exchange shows the two victors embracing before Simone presented Coco with a bouquet of long-awaited roses.
The gymnastics competition was unlike anything else, causing an impulse to shout ‘Go Coco!’ However, they advised against it at that moment. But don’t worry, congratulations are in order! I thoroughly enjoy watching your performance and all that you accomplish.

In an interview with TopMob News on August 24th, Coco expressed, “He often advises me to have faith in the journey’s development. However, given my accomplishments, I believe it’s unnecessary to remain overly pessimistic about things. My team, including my parents, often echo this sentiment. As someone who tends to be self-critical, I make an effort to maintain a positive outlook.
