Now, it seems that the NYPD is delving deep into the matter, according to documents from The New York Times. It appears they’re investigating her untimely demise as a potential drug overdose – a possibility that leaves me heartbroken and longing for more definitive answers.

As per the document, the deceased chef was found in the shower, unconscious and unresponsive, along with around 100 various pills nearby. Emergency responders later declared her dead at the scene.

Furthermore, it’s been affirmed that an autopsy has taken place, as reported by the outlet and the city medical examiner’s office. However, the results determining Burrell’s cause of death have yet to be disclosed.

Following the unfortunate incident, representatives from the New York City Fire Department informed us that they received a 911 call indicating that she might have suffered a heart attack.

The police also verified to NBC News that they responded to an address in Brooklyn, which corresponded with Burrell’s details, at around dawn on June 27, following a report about a 55-year-old woman found unconscious and unresponsive.
