The exploration of ‘007 First Light’ was robust, but those expecting a comprehensive overview might not have to wait much longer. There are whispers about a Sony event scheduled for late September, which Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming has supported, further hinting that ‘Marvel’s Wolverine‘ could be included in the showcase.
First unveiled in 2001 by Insomniac Games, this project has been under wraps since then with no formal updates. According to reliable sources, there’s a strong likelihood that it will resurface soon, accompanied by a brand-new trailer which has just completed its production process.
In December 2023, Insomniac experienced a ransomware attack that exposed some assets and details for an upcoming X-Men game, allegedly their first in the series. Initially aiming for a release in 2026, it’s possible that the plans have been altered since then. Now, the directors of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Marcus Smith and Mike Daly, are spearheading this project, with Sony announcing its availability after March 2026.
According to Insomniac, they’ve mentioned on numerous occasions that they’ll share information when the moment is appropriate, so keep an eye out for updates!
