Charlie Kirk is being remembered. 

Following the unfortunate incident where a conservative activist was fatally shot at the age of 31 during a speech at Utah Valley University on September 10, numerous celebrities and politicians expressed their tributes.

As a loyal follower recounting the events, I was approximately twenty minutes into my presentation at the university in Orem, Utah, when suddenly, a shooting occurred. The assailant fired a gunshot from a building roughly 200 yards away, as reported by the university’s spokesperson to NBC News. Kirk, who co-founded Turning Point USA, was unfortunate to be caught up in this alarming situation.

Shortly after the political activist was detained, they were rushed to the hospital. However, later that day, President Donald Trump announced that the activist had tragically passed away.

Charlie, a 79-year-old, expressed on Truth Social on September 10 that he knew the spirit of American youth better than anyone else. He was cherished and respected universally, including by me, but sadly, he’s no longer among us.

Trump expressed his sympathies to the wife of Kirk, whom he referred to as Erika Frantzve Kirk, who is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter and a 15-month-old son (whose names are not known publicly). In addition, he conveyed his condolences to the entire family, stating “Melania and I send our love and sympathies to his beloved wife Erika, and their family. Charlie, we care for you deeply!

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find it truly heartwarming to share that when the Right-wing influencer was honored, even members of our POTUS’ family took a moment to express their heartfelt messages in tribute. Among them, Donald Trump Jr., reflected on the profound impact this individual had made.

In a statement released on September 10, Donald Trump Jr., aged 47 and son of the late Ivana Trump, expressed that Charlie wasn’t merely a friend but more like a younger brother to him, and this sentiment was shared by countless people worldwide. He further highlighted that Charlie was an exceptional source of inspiration.

Speaking about Kirk, Trump Jr. stated that he’s encountered few men as brave and honorable as him. He went on to express his deep sorrow over this loss, not just for Erika and their children, but also for our nation.

We’ve sadly lost an exceptional individual – a leader, a battler, and a man whose integrity and determination were truly unique. He lamented that such a remarkable life was tragically taken by an unthinkable, vile crime. This is both devastating and soul-crushing.

However, it wasn’t just the Trump family who spoke out against the unfortunate event, expressing their sympathies and condolences to those close to Kirk as well.

In the aftermath of his demise, Rosie O’Donnell expressed her disapproval of any form of violence, posting on Instagram next to a picture of Kirk speaking at an event, “Absolutely not – do not resort to murder – this act is reprehensible from all angles.

Similarly, former President Barack Obama emphasized that violence is never permissible. 

In a post on X, he expressed that we are still unaware of the reasons behind the individual who fatally shot Charlie Kirk. Regardless, such appalling violence has no room in our democratic system. Tonight, Michelle and I will offer prayers to Charlie’s family, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel described Kirk’s untimely passing as “horrible” and “monstrous.”

Previously, the ex-vice president expressed profound concern over the tragic shooting of Kirk, a co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, as she and her spouse, Doug Emhoff, found the incident extremely upsetting.

It’s essential to remember that individuals belonging to different political factions are not adversaries; instead, they are fellow citizens sharing this great nation with us. Let’s strive towards fostering understanding and respect amidst our differences.

He added, “May God bless Charlie Kirk and his family, and may God guide America toward civility.”

In line with what other leaders are saying, the 82-year-old emphasized that such violence has no home in our nation.

Biden penned on X, stating that it’s time to conclude. He also expressed prayers for the family and close friends of Charlie Kirk.

The well-known personality from reality TV expressed feelings of being stunned after learning about the death of her longstanding companion, Kirk.
