Beyond Paradise season 4 confirmed to see return of a beloved character from early episodes

Kris Marshall, who plays a role in the popular BBC series “Beyond Paradise,” has hinted at the comeback of a beloved character from Season 1 in the upcoming installment of the cozy crime storyline, using cryptic language.

The show, titled “Death in Paradise,” finds Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman (played by Marshall) settling into a fresh chapter in the fictional English town of Shipton Abbott. There, he shifts his focus towards numerous suspicious happenings within the local community.

Just as the original series frequently invites new actors for recurring roles due to its changing cast, Beyond Paradise follows suit. However, it seems that a past guest star is slated to reappear in an upcoming episode, bringing some familiar faces back into the mix.

On BBC’s Morning Live, Marshall hinted that a cherished character from Season 1 will be returning, as they filmed some scenes together on that day.

The secretive Marshall has hinted at a major plot twist, dubbing it a “monumental spoiler.” He cryptically mentioned that the identity of this enigmatic actor is male – a ‘he’. So, grab your popcorn and keep those guesses flowing!

Reflecting on the male guest stars from Season 1, there are two actors who might reappear: Phil Daniels, who portrayed fisherman Marvelous Harris, and Rufus Jones, who was the art dealer named Terrence Witham.

As a die-hard movie fan, I was thrilled to be a part of the Beyond Paradise family, where both me and my co-stars received immense appreciation from the entire cast and crew during our respective episodes’ premieres. The creator extraordinaire, Tim Key himself, highlighted my character as the “grizzled boatman” as something everyone had been eagerly anticipating for quite some time.

As for the character, I must say, it was quite remarkable working alongside Phil Daniels, who skillfully adopted a Devon accent. Given his iconic voice from various projects, it added an extra layer of excitement to our collaboration.

During the premiere of season 1, Felicity Montagu and Dylan Llewellyn, Jones’ co-stars, also praised him highly. In fact, Dylan referred to Jones as “extremely funny” while working together.

Montagu agreed: “Rufus has accomplished some truly remarkable feats during the last five to six years. To see his name on the cast list was almost like saying, ‘Wow, they’ve really pulled out all the stops for this one.’

It’s quite plausible that the mysterious figure who comes back isn’t either Daniels or Jones, but Marshall’s statement will undoubtedly spark curiosity among fans as they eagerly await the start of Beyond Paradise season 4.
