The Witcher season 4 release date confirmed – with first-look clip of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt

Fans can finally look forward to The Witcher season 4! We now have a release date and a first glimpse of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, taking over the role from Henry Cavill.

Everyone is eagerly anticipating the new season, especially after Henry Cavill’s departure last season. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long – season 4 will arrive on October 30th!

Fans also got a first look at Chris Hemsworth as Geralt, with a new clip showing him wearing the character’s famous wig while battling a frightening monster.

The new season opens with Geralt fighting a powerful spirit. He nearly gets pulled into its home, but manages to win by ripping out its heart and destroying it.

Chris Hemsworth will star alongside familiar faces like Freya Allan (as Ciri), Anya Chalotra (as Yennefer), and Joey Batey (as Jaskier). However, there will be some cast changes this season, as Kim Bodnia won’t be returning as Vesemir.

The Hunger Games actor previously opened up about the recasting, comparing it to Doctor Who.

He explained to Collider that this was an unusual experience for an actor, comparable perhaps to those who’ve played Doctor Who. That’s because, unlike most roles, the supporting cast remained consistent while the main actor changed.

It felt like starting high school as the new kid – everyone already knew each other and had established friendships, and I was just coming in to join them.

He’s really dedicating this pre-production period to preparation, immersing himself in the material and getting ready for the shoot, he explained.

He’s giving this role his all, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with his dedication.
