Homura: The Crimson Warriors coming west in 2026

Idea Factory International announced that the otome visual novel *Homura: The Crimson Warriors* will be available on Switch in Western regions in 2026.

Originally released in Japan for the PS Vita on June 28, 2018, as *Kurenai no Homura: Sanada Ninpouchou*, *Houra: The Crimson Warriors* is now also available on the Nintendo Switch, launching on February 15, 2024.

Wishlisting for the standard edition is available now via IFI’s Online Store.

About

Fourteen years have passed since the Battle of Sekigahara split Japan in two.

The Tokugawa shogunate has consolidated its power and is now plotting to destroy the Toyotomi clan, who have long been a source of trouble and opposition.

The Toyotomi clan has chosen to directly challenge the Tokugawa, making Osaka Castle their main base of operations. They requested aid from lords across the country, but very few responded. Among those who did was Nobushige Sanada, the second son of the Sanada family, who had been exiled to Mt. Kudo under house arrest following the Battle of Sekigahara.

Okay, so I’m playing this game, and Nobushige is trying to make a break from Mt. Kudo. He’s got help from the Sanada Ten Braves – basically ten super skilled ninjas who are still loyal to him even though they’ve been exiled. But things aren’t easy! We’re facing off against the Ura Yagyu, a really dangerous group of assassins working for the shogunate. Plus, there are these mysterious swordsmen and just generally powerful warriors trying to stop us. It’s a tough fight!

This story marks the end of the Warring States period and follows the close relationships and lives of Nobushige Sanada and his ten brave warriors as they defend Osaka Castle.
