This is not what Calvin Harris came for.
DJ Adam Wiles claims his financial advisor, Thomas St. John, took more than $22.5 million to finance a failed real estate venture.
According to an arbitration request obtained by *Variety*, Harris’s lawyers claim his former advisor, who he worked with for 13 years, asked him for money as an emergency loan because the advisor was short on funds.
Lawyers for Harris say he wasn’t informed about the CMNTY Culture campus-a stalled project intended to be an entertainment, recording studio, and office complex-but was simply asked to sign documents. They claim Harris also provided a $10 million loan and a $12.5 million investment for the project, and he still doesn’t know how the money was spent.
According to the document, those involved never intended for Mr. Wiles to get his money back, whether through payments or any other means. It claims the CMNTY campus was either a total waste of money or, even worse, a deliberate scam.
St. John refutes the accusations made by Harris. According to a statement released by his lawyer, Sasha Frid, to Variety, St. John claims Harris was the one who actively sought out this project.
He was dissatisfied with how slowly the project was moving and decided to seek a resolution through private arbitration, according to the statement from St. John’s. The statement also noted that rising interest rates and other market conditions are currently causing delays in real estate projects.
Even though construction on the CMNTY campus has been paused for over two years, St. John, through his lawyer, stated that the project is still expected to be successful and have a value of over $900 million once finished.

His lawyer emphasized on behalf of his client, “Mr. St. John denies any wrongdoing.”
According to documents obtained by *Variety*, Harris claims he loaned $10 million to someone and expected to be repaid by the end of January. He and his wife, Vick Hope, share a 2-month-old son named Micah. The loan, plus interest, remains unpaid, leading Harris to pursue legal arbitration.
According to *Variety*, Harris and his lawyers reached an agreement, confirmed by a Los Angeles court on September 12th, preventing the company from using funds while arbitration is ongoing.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Harris and St. John but has not yet heard back.
