These Housewives are getting real-er than ever before.
Melissa Gorga, Emily Simpson, Angie Katsanevas, and Wendy Osefo are trading their glamorous lifestyles for a taste of everyday life in the new Bravo series, *Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition*. The show’s trailer reveals the Real Housewives will be switching places with regular wives and moms.
But not all of the ladies are excited to have their worlds turned upside down.
In the first glimpse from the September 16th issue, Angie asks a thought-provoking question: “Wouldn’t it be interesting to trade places with another person? Who would actually do that?”
Emily, however, has a completely different take on the experience. When asked why she joined the show, the *Real Housewives of Orange County* star jokingly admitted in a private interview, “I wanted to see my husband, Shane, really uncomfortable.”
When Angie arrived at her new, secluded home in rural Idaho, the reality star from *The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City* admitted she’d made a bit of a mistake, saying, “I’m totally overdressed and not ready for this!”
And the ladies’ adjustments are anything but smooth.
The group finds themselves in completely unfamiliar territory, dealing with everything from messy plumbing to caring for animals and instantly parenting children. Meanwhile, the families they’ve switched places with – a traditional mom from New Jersey, an Idaho homesteader and former Mormon, a chaotic vegan, and a free-spirited Floridian – are quickly enjoying their luxurious new lives.
Despite their initial differences, the eight women gradually discover they have more in common than they thought, bonding through shared struggles, honest conversations, and surprising realizations.
After a visibly upset Emily shared with her exchange partner, Caley Svensson, that she was feeling incredibly overwhelmed, Caley responded by pointing out they faced similar challenges.
Angie shared with her wife, Lindsay Flake, that she found the most profound and beautiful life lessons by stepping away from everything familiar.
In a preview for the show, Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorga, jokingly says, “Melissa’s not my wife tonight. I love this show!” suggesting he’s enjoying being part of the program.
Check out the wonderfully chaotic trailer above.
A new season of *Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition* begins Tuesday, October 14th, at 9 p.m. on Bravo. You can watch episodes the next day on Peacock.
In the meantime, keep reading to see TopMob’s official ranking of every Housewife ever.

Bravo’s reality show about Washington D.C. featured four women-Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner-who didn’t exactly make a lasting impression. And then there was one woman who was so eager for attention, she actually crashed a party at the White House. We’ll be talking about her later.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

The newest cast member on the Utah edition of “The Real Housewives” had a dramatic and short-lived run. In January 2022, Jennie was let go from the show after old, offensive Facebook posts with racially insensitive content were discovered online. She did issue an apology, but the show decided the posts were too damaging to ignore.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

Dr. Jen didn’t cause much drama in season 16, and her short-lived marriage issues with her husband, Ryne, weren’t very exciting. But we’ll always remember her getting noticeably tipsy on wine at the Dubrows’ dinner party – it was a strangely awkward, but incredibly fun, night.

The nurse anesthetist’s first season was a disaster, and it’s best remembered by the embarrassing incident now known as “Esophagus-gate.”

Katie frequently discussed her charitable efforts, but didn’t offer much substance when filming. She made brief appearances and didn’t really engage with the other cast members. And leaving a cast trip early is a major breach of etiquette in the world of reality television.

Charrisse is mostly remembered for her highly publicized marital issues during her two seasons on the show, and, of course, her famously lavish champagne room.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

Although it was refreshing to see some diversity on *The Real Housewives of Orange County*, Peggy ended up being a difficult cast member in season 12. She frequently started strange arguments, often over misunderstandings of simple words, and her decision to isolate herself during the Iceland trip showed she wasn’t suited for the show’s lifestyle.

Nneka’s first season on the show focused on a dramatic accusation – she claimed Wendy Osefo’s mother practiced witchcraft. It’s a shame they didn’t connect over their Nigerian heritage instead of getting into this unresolved conflict. We were hoping to see them bond as fellow Nigerian cast members.

Noella brought a lot of chaotic energy to season 16. Although her difficult personal life – including a surprise divorce from her husband, James, just before filming – was interesting to watch, it was her ongoing conflict with Heather Dubrow that really kept her from being the least popular cast member. Perhaps with more time on the show, viewers will connect with Noella.

She went from being a peacemaker in her first season to facing accusations of anti-Semitism and complaining about a cake being thrown in her second – and final – season. It’s hard to think of a Real Housewife who lost popularity so quickly.

Amber and Jim both appeared to be acting out of desperation. However, Jim seemed much more caught up in the problems than Amber, which didn’t look good for him.

From what we recall, Karent was a dentist, and her colleagues didn’t appear to get along with her. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Jules was only on *RHONY* for one season, so it’s hard to place her higher on a ranking list. Still, she definitely brought plenty of drama during her time on the show.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina was a successful Arab woman who skillfully balanced a modern lifestyle with her cultural heritage. She generally stayed out of the season’s conflicts, and at times, her quieter personality was lost amongst her more outgoing co-stars.

Taleen joined the second season of *RHODubai* and made a positive impression, but it’s hard to fully evaluate her after just one season on the show.

Though she appeared on seasons 11 and 12 of *America’s Next Top Model*, this reality star didn’t make a significant impact on *The Real Housewives of Atlanta*, mainly remembered for being pregnant throughout her time on the show. She did deliver a memorable confrontation with Marlo Hampton while in Tokyo, though!

Usually, we like to see how a new Housewife does over at least one full season before ranking them highly. But Katie made a huge impact right away on season 18 of RHOC, immediately challenging longtime cast member Heather Dubrow. It takes guts to question someone like Ms. Dubrow!

Sara had a consistently positive and optimistic attitude, which made her a joy to be around, though things were usually quite calm around her – except for the memorable occasion when her parenting advice didn’t go over well with her colleague, Caroline Brooks. More importantly, she challenged common ideas about what it means to be a modern Muslim woman in the Middle East, and that’s something to celebrate.

Okay, so, the new girls on Season 13 of *RHONJ*? Total Housewives, honestly. And they got into this HUGE fight, like, over absolutely nothing! Andy Cohen even said so at the reunion – it was so pointless. Honestly, I was hoping for more, but they didn’t really bring it in Season 14 either. Such a letdown!

Larsa Pippen didn’t stand out much during her first season on the show before departing. When The Real Housewives of Miami returned in 2021, a major focus of her story was her past friendship with Kim Kardashian – and her side hustle selling photos of her feet online.

After appearing on Bravo for one season, Ana tried out for season 12 of *Next Food Network Star* in 2016, but wasn’t selected as a finalist.

She was repeatedly mistreated by Brandi Glanville, and her motto about being too thin was distasteful.
