TMNT X Godzilla #2 Preview Teases Epic Kaiju Transformation (Exclusive)

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are known for teaming up with popular characters like the Power Rangers, Batman, and the Ghostbusters. But their upcoming crossover with Godzilla, published by IDW, could be their most exciting team-up yet! ComicBook has a special preview of *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla* #2, offering a first look at a surprisingly dramatic change for one of the characters.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have faced tough battles before, but this one might be their biggest yet. Shredder has unleashed Godzilla and a whole team of monstrous Kaiju on the world, and the action really kicks off in issue #2, with devastating conflicts breaking out across the globe. Okay, so I just saw the latest cover art, and it’s seriously cool. They’re doing this fun series where each Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gets a ‘Kaiju’ makeover – you know, like those giant monsters from Japanese films. The first one featured Leonardo, and now it’s Michelangelo’s turn. Artist Juni Ba has really delivered – Mikey looks like he’s transforming into something inspired by Mothra or Rodan, or maybe a combination of both. It’s a surprising and really creative take on the character, and I’m definitely intrigued to see the rest of the series!

A common feature of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles team-ups is seeing the Turtles adopt traits of the characters they’re partnering with, as we’ve seen in their crossovers with Batman and Power Rangers. The Power Rangers crossover went especially far, with the Turtles becoming Rangers themselves and even getting their own Turtle-inspired Zord. These current comic covers suggest we might see similar transformations or combinations happen within the story itself later on.

An Epic Throwdown

The second issue reveals Tokyo under attack by Godzilla, Rodan, and Anguirus, with only Mechagodzilla defending the city. The Turtles are rushing to help, but they’re facing a huge threat of their own in New York: the powerful King Ghidorah. Meanwhile, Shredder is secretly working to complete his plan to create a new, potent mutagen.

Right now, Godzilla is the villain, but it makes you think – could Godzilla and the Turtles eventually join forces against Shredder and the Foot Clan? It’s likely some monsters will help Shredder, leading to a huge battle as the story ends, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Here’s the official series description for more information.

This comic book is written by Tim Seeley and features art by Fero Pe. It has multiple cover options: Cover A by Fero Pe, Cover B by Juni Ba, and Cover C by Mateus Santolouco. Okay, so issue #2 of *TMNT x Godzilla* is out, and it’s absolutely wild! Ghidorah’s now wrecking New York City, and it’s up to the Turtles and Splinter to somehow stop that three-headed monster. Over in Tokyo, it’s just Mechagodzilla trying to hold off Godzilla, Rodan, and Anguirus – seriously, things are bad there! The Turtles know they need to hurry up and save New York *then* get to Japan to help. But here’s the really scary part: with everyone focused on the kaiju, Shredder is sneaking around, trying to get his hands on some serious monster power! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
