Be warned: the following contains major spoilers for Season 2 of Wednesday! If you haven’t finished watching, proceed with caution. You’ll need a Netflix subscription to watch the show.
Throughout the first season of *Wednesday*, Wednesday and Enid were the perfect best friends. But by the end of Season 2, their close duo became a trio when Evie Templeton’s invisible friend, Agnes, joined them. Getting there wasn’t easy, and Agnes had a difficult time learning to connect with others, but her journey was ultimately heartwarming.
In Part 1, I Simply Thought Agnes Was Wednesday’s Creepy Stalker
One of the best parts of this story is how it initially presents the character of Agnes. For much of the first part of the show, she appears as someone who’s obsessively following Wednesday. She comes across as unsettling and overly attached, particularly as Enid sees her, and it left me wondering what her role would be.
I wasn’t sure if Agnes was an ally or an enemy at first. But the second part of the story showed there was a lot more to her, and it really highlighted how her experience of wanting to belong and make friends as a teenager is something many of us – including me – can relate to.

Part 2 Quickly Revealed How Lonely Agnes Was, And The Struggle She Faced To Find Friends
Although Agnes doesn’t seem too affected by Enid’s remarks, the tension between them boils over in Episode 6. When Enid is stuck in Wednesday’s body, Agnes suggests that Enid is becoming a problem for Wednesday and that it’s time for Agnes to end their relationship. This outburst causes Enid, appearing as Wednesday, to lash out, calling Agnes a ‘sycophantic loser’ and declaring that they are ‘not friends’ and she doesn’t like her.
This situation brings Templeton to a unique support group: disembodied body parts. Despite having a complete body herself, Agnes is embraced by the group and openly shares her story with them.
I hoped attending Nevermore would help me finally connect with people and make genuine friends. Instead, I feel even more isolated than before.
Okay, so things get really tough for Agnes in the next episode, and she starts making some questionable decisions. But honestly, the best part is seeing Enid swoop in to help! In Episode 7, she actually talks to… well, a completely invisible girl, which is just amazing.
Honestly, if I feel like I’m fading into the background, I’ve learned to stop trying to be someone else. It’s like, embrace your quirks, your weirdness – be *you*. Seriously, trust me on this, it’s incredibly freeing. Let your true self shine, even if it’s a little… unconventional.
This culminates in a memorable dance performance, after which Agnes finally feels comfortable being herself. The emotional impact of this journey – the struggle and eventual acceptance – really resonated with me, as I think it will with many others who faced similar challenges growing up.

Seeing Enid And Wednesday Embrace Agnes For Who She Is Hit Me Hard
I’ve always appreciated the core message of Wednesday – embracing people for who they truly are, especially those who feel like outsiders. But Agnes’ story really resonated with me. It reminded me of being a teenager and trying to find my place, wanting to fit in, and the challenges of making friends while staying true to myself.
The show felt genuinely moving and impactful, and at its heart, it’s a story about everyone deserving to be loved and accepted as themselves. By the end of *Wednesday* Season 2, when Wednesday and Enid truly welcomed Agnes into their group, it was a really touching moment that made me feel emotional.
Watching Agnes’ story in Season 2 of *Wednesday* really resonated with me, bringing back memories of growing up, navigating friendships, and discovering myself. It also honestly showed the difficulties and pressures of trying to fit in. I was really moved by it and I’m glad the show included her storyline.
