The world of *Star Wars* is getting a fun and colorful makeover! A new animated series, *Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy*, just launched on Disney+, and it playfully mixes up everything you thought you knew. A mistake with a powerful object has flipped characters – heroes are now villains, and vice versa – and even reimagines some lesser-known favorites in surprising ways. You’ll see classic characters like never before, with many of the original voice actors returning to play these new versions of iconic roles.
This show lovingly honors the entire history of Star Wars – from its origins to its current form and what’s to come – and playfully acknowledges all the elements that fans adore.
1. Luke Skywalker
Mark Hamill is back as the iconic Luke Skywalker! This new series shows a different side of the hero – he’s now a daring podracer and action star, fighting to bring peace to a chaotic galaxy.
2. Ahsoka Tano
Ashley Eckstein is back as the voice of Ahsoka Tano, a role she hasn’t played since 2022’s *Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi*. She’s also the only character currently available as a Lego BrickHead, guiding fans through the unpredictable world of Star Wars.
3. Jar Jar Binks
Ahmed Best is back as Jar Jar Binks, but with a shocking twist! He’s playing Darth Jar Jar, a powerful Sith Lord who’s far from the clumsy character fans remember. This new version is menacing and surprisingly skilled with the Force.
4. Wicket the Ewok
Dee Bradley Baker, who has a long history of voice work in Star Wars animation, returns as Wicket, an Ewok originally from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. In this new story, Wicket is surprisingly a bounty hunter-a change that feels both unexpected and right for the character, considering his background as a native of Endor.
5. Mace Windu
TC Carson provides the voice for Mace Windu. In this version of the story, the Jedi Master is held captive, but his strength and lightsaber abilities are still crucial to the team’s success.
6. Palpatine
Trevor Devall provides the voice for Shiv Palpatine, but in a surprising role: a kind and helpful Jedi Master. This is a complete departure from his typically villainous portrayal, as he’s now a force for good.
7. C-3PO
Let me tell you, having Anthony Daniels back as the voice of C-3PO is a huge win. He *is* that droid – still wonderfully fussy and prone to worrying, but this time around, things are different. He’s not just observing the action; he’s right in the thick of it, and it’s fascinating to watch him grapple with his anxieties while actually being forced to *do* something.
8. Asajj Ventress
Nika Futterman is back as the popular character Asajj Ventress. This time around, Ventress isn’t a follower of the dark side or a bounty hunter-she’s a mysterious independent agent, and it’s unclear whether she’s fighting for good or not.
9. Ki-Adi-Mundi
Brian George provides the voice for Ki-Adi-Mundi, a Jedi who’s adjusting to a changed galaxy. While he still has his recognizable cone-shaped head and calm personality, he’s now grappling with a universe that challenges everything he once believed.
10. Greedo
Jake Green, known for voicing the bounty hunter Greedo in *Star Wars: A New Hope* (and the debate over who shot first!), now plays a reformed character. This time, the Rodian outlaw has become a law-abiding and respected citizen – a surprising change of fortune.
11. Mon Mothma
I’m so thrilled Jennifer Hale is voicing Mon Mothma! It’s not what you’d expect – she’s not out front leading the Rebellion, but a quiet force working behind the scenes. She’s trying to unite a broken galaxy and build a new hope, and it’s a really fascinating take on the character.
12. Kit Fisto (as Darth Kit Fisto)
Phil LaMarr provides the voice for Kit Fisto, a Nautolan Jedi Master. Surprisingly, this normally gentle and approachable character has turned to the dark side and now fights with a red lightsaber as Darth Kit Fisto.
13. Han Solo
Ross Marquand brings his voice to the iconic Han Solo. While still the lovable rogue fans know and love, this time around he’s part of a surprising new team of heroes and his role is a bit different than usual.
14. Yoda
Piotr Michael returns as the seasoned Jedi Master, still offering profound wisdom, but now facing a Force that’s deeply unstable and chaotic.
15. Cal Kestis
Cameron Monaghan, who played Cal in the video games, now provides the voice for the Lego version of the character, a survivor of Order 66. Cal plays an important role in the new show, using his special Force powers and skills in the battle.
16. Jabba the Hutt
Kevin Michael Richardson voices a Lego version of Jabba the Hutt, but with a surprising makeover! Instead of a ruthless gangster, this Jabba is a peaceful Jedi with a natural talent for using the Force.
17. Rey
Rey, now played by Helen Sadler, isn’t the heroic Jedi we remember. She’s fallen to the dark side and is now the leader of a Sith army. This is a knowing reference to a moment in *Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker* where Rey briefly imagined herself as a Sith.
18. Vader
Matt Sloan, known for previously voicing Darth Vader, is back for *Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy*. However, in this version of the story, Anakin Skywalker didn’t turn evil. Instead, he remained a Jedi hero and now leads the Jedi as a powerful force for good.
19. Cassian Andor
André Sogliuzzo steps into the role of Cassian Andor, the resourceful Rebel spy. He returns as a skilled infiltrator and spy, using his talents to support a new generation of heroes battling for order in a troubled galaxy.
20. Padmé Amidala
Catherine Taber plays Padmé, who was once the Queen and a senator representing Naboo. Now, she’s reinvented herself as a daring Pirate Queen, commanding a ship and leading a band of adventurous raiders.
21. Obi-Wan Kenobi
James Arnold Taylor reprises his role as the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Jedi Master remains a source of wisdom and kindness, offering hope to the heroes as they face this unfamiliar world.
22. Rose Tico
Okay, so get this – Kelly Marie Tran is back, but not as the Rose Tico we know! It’s a total switch-up. Apparently, she’s gone full Sith Lord! Instead of fixing ships for the Resistance, she’s leading her *own* group of dark side users alongside Darth Rey, and they’re all about grabbing power. It’s a wild reimagining of her character, honestly!
23. K-2SO
Alan Tudyk returns as K-2SO, Cassian Andor’s dependable friend. The reprogrammed droid remains hilariously sarcastic and direct, providing both comic moments and steadfast support to the story’s heroes.
24. Lando Calrissian
Dee Bradley Baker voices Lando Calrissian in a surprising new role. He’s reimagined as “the Landolorian,” a Mandalorian bounty hunter, which is a fun and inventive twist on the familiar character and adds to the show’s lively energy.
25. Maul
Sam Witwer once again voices the character of Maul. The iconic Sith Lord is returning, and remains a terrifying and powerful threat to the heroes.
26. General Grievous
Lego has released a new version of General Grievous, the cyborg from Star Wars, voiced again by Matthew Wood. In a surprising change, this version isn’t a villain – he’s a Jedi, using his famous lightsaber skills to fight for the good guys.
27. Princess Leia
Shelby Young brings Princess Leia to life, now a strong and determined general. She leads a new Rebellion with the same courage and resolve, fighting against overwhelming odds.
28. Solitus
Dan Stevens provides the voice for Solitus, who serves as the main villain in the series. Originally appearing in the ‘Legends’ storyline, Solitus has not yet been included in the current official storyline (‘canon’).
29. Revan
Revan, a popular character from older Star Wars stories, makes a brief appearance without any dialogue. He’s shown as a Sith Lord, but fans hope future appearances will explore his path to redemption, as depicted in stories outside of current canon.
