Microsoft’s official Windows 11 version 25H2 RTM ISO media is now available — Download all 38 languages here for x64 or Arm64

Microsoft is on the verge of releasing the next major update to Windows 11, version 25H2. After several weeks of final testing, the completed version has now been prepared on Microsoft’s servers, signaling its imminent public release.

RTM is a legacy Windows term-short for Released To Manufacturing-that refers to the final version of the software Microsoft sends to computer manufacturers. They’ll install this version, specifically 25H2, on new PCs before they’re shipped to customers. While Microsoft doesn’t officially use the term ‘RTM’ anymore, it’s still used internally.

It looks like Microsoft is about to officially release Windows 11 build 26200.6584. The installation files are already available for download directly from Microsoft, so you don’t have to wait for the official release date if you’d like to try it now.

The installation files are offered in 38 different languages and come in Home, Pro, and Education versions. File sizes vary a little, but they’re typically about 7GB for 64-bit computers and a few hundred megabytes smaller for Arm64 devices.

Microsoft has confirmed that the next Windows 11 update, version 25H2, won’t introduce any new features compared to the current 24H2 version. Both versions will receive updates through the same system, meaning any improvements or fixes made for one will automatically be available on the other. Because of this, you shouldn’t notice any differences in app compatibility, performance, or stability between the two versions.

Look, I know upgrades can be a pain, but seriously, you should jump to version 25H2. It basically restarts the clock for how long Microsoft will support it with security updates and bug fixes, and that’s a big deal. Version 24H2 is already getting a bit old in terms of support – it’s been out for a year already! 25H2, on the other hand, will get a full 24 months of support from when it’s officially released. So, for security and stability, it’s the smarter move.
