Tom Holland is currently filming the new *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* movie, and a lot of the filming has been happening outside of the US. Unfortunately, production was recently paused when Holland was injured on set. However, fans are much more focused on his health and have been sharing their support for him on social media.
Tom Holland Is Hurt While Filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day In Glasgow
I heard some worrying news about Tom Holland! Apparently, he was hurt while doing a stunt on set. The Sun was the first to report it, saying he was taken to the hospital with a concussion and that they had to stop filming because of it. At first, people thought a stunt double also needed hospital treatment, but Deadline has since confirmed it only happened to Tom. It sounds like it happened last Friday in Glasgow, and thankfully, no one else was hurt.
Deadline reports the short filming pause is expected to end in a few days. According to a source, the break was a precautionary measure. A meeting is scheduled for Monday to plan how to move forward with the superhero movie’s production.
Comedian Dominic Holland, Tom Holland’s father, mentioned at a charity event that Tom is taking a break from filming the next Marvel movie. Despite this, Tom attended the same event with his father and his fiancée, Zendaya, though he left early because he wasn’t feeling well. Even though he was there, fans are still sending him supportive messages online.
How Fans Are Showing Up For Tom Holland In The Aftermath Of His Injury
Everyone loves the actor known as Cherry, and he’s gained a lot of fans throughout his career. So it’s no surprise that people rushed to social media to show their support when news of his injury on set went viral. Many fans shared their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter). Here’s what some of them said:
- Fuck you mean Tom Holland cracked his head open? Praying for my boy. – @RinMorningstar_
- Dear Lord, please never let anything bad happen to Tom Holland ever again. Amen. – @wadesknife
- Thoughts and prayers to Tom Holland and his stunt double 🙏Sounds terrible, hoping for speedy recovery. – @SchwayJohn
- [I] hope Tom Holland’s okay. I couldn’t handle anything happening to him 😭 – @cinebieber
- TOM HOLLAND BETTER BE OK OMFG – @Ayah2156
- I hope he and the stunt double make a speedy recovery. Playing Spider-Man and doing your own stunts takes a lot of balls on its own. Props for Tom Holland and if they need to delay the film for his health then that is completely justified. 🙏🏻❤️ – @ReignOfPride
Social media often has its downsides, but right now it’s creating a really positive buzz around Tom Holland. It’s great to see so much support for him! Ever since production started on *Brand New Day*, Holland has been actively engaging with fans and showing his appreciation. He shared a look at his new Spider-Man suit back in August, and he was excited to talk about meeting fans on the first day of filming. He’s even said that fan feedback helped shape ideas for this fourth *Spider-Man* movie.
Tom Holland is really enthusiastic about his new film, seeing it as a fresh start for the series, not just another sequel. While I’m looking forward to it, I mainly hope he takes the time to rest and fully recover before getting back to work.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31 as part of the 2026 movie schedule.
