Prince Harry doesn’t plan on having his son Archie follow in his footsteps.

Okay, so there was this rumor going around that Harry and Meghan were sending Archie to Eton, like where Harry went to school! Can you believe it? Well, it’s NOT TRUE! I’ve been following everything about them, and apparently, they haven’t enrolled him there at all. Honestly, some of the things the tabloids say…it’s just not accurate. I needed to know the truth, and thankfully, Archie isn’t going to Eton. Phew!

Okay, so I’ve been *totally* checking for any news about where little Archie will go to school, and I just got confirmation from Prince Harry’s team! Apparently, he hasn’t even *considered* Eton for Archie, and there are absolutely no plans for him to go there. I know, right?! I was so curious, and now we know! I’m still hoping for a glimpse of Archie’s school life though…

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this closely. It’s understandable why Prince Harry was hesitant about bringing his family, including his three-year-old daughter Lilibet, to the U.K. He’d previously voiced concerns, especially after his request for increased security for his family while visiting his home country was denied earlier this year. It’s a tough situation when you want to protect your loved ones and feel that protection isn’t fully in place.

Following the ruling in May, he told the BBC that he doesn’t foresee returning to the UK with his family anytime soon.

Harry explained that he’s had a lot of disagreements with some family members. The main issue now, after five years of conflict, centers on concerns for people’s well-being and safety – it’s the only thing they haven’t resolved.

Even though he was upset, the former royal official said he wants to find a way to improve his relationship with his family.

He expressed a desire to mend things with his family, stating that ongoing conflict wasn’t worth it and that life is too valuable to waste on fighting.

Harry recently met with his father, King Charles III, in person for the first time in over a year and a half.

Prince Harry, founder of the Invictus Games, visited his father, King Charles, for a private tea at Clarence House in London on September 10th. Following the visit, Harry told reporters that his father is doing well despite his ongoing cancer treatment, according to Sky News.

He also mentioned wanting to make more time for his father in the coming year, and said their recent meeting was a good first step towards that goal.

He told The Guardian in a September 14th interview that his father is what truly matters. He added that recent events have made that even clearer.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House – the King’s home in London – likely to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.

Princess Anne’s son and his former husband, Mark Phillips, announced their engagement to Harriet Sperling on August 1st. The couple had been dating for over a year.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded solely at the discretion of the monarch-in this case, her husband, King Charles III-based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine cancelled her appearance at Royal Ascot, according to Kensington Palace.

The palace said Kate was sad to miss the event, but she’s still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when a court dismissed his case. This followed a decision over a year earlier where the High Court, through the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, had already refused his request for increased protection.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2021 and moved to the US, their publicly funded security was reduced. However, Harry continued to request security arrangements whenever he returned to the UK.

More than a year after revealing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has highlighted the kindness and goodness in people.

In a booklet offering support to cancer patients and their families, Charles explained that a diagnosis is understandably scary. However, drawing from his own experience, he also emphasized that it can reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.

He expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers who cared for him, and shared that the experience deepened his respect for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for years.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.

This was the second Easter the couple missed. It happened just a week after Princess Catherine shared news of her cancer diagnosis.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached a legal settlement with News Group Newspapers – the company behind *The Sun* and the now-closed *News of the World* – on January 22nd. He had sued them in 2019, claiming that journalists and investigators working for the newspapers illegally gathered information about the royal family.

According to NBC News, the settlement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering Harry a complete and sincere apology. They also publicly admitted to the widespread and harmful coverage that invaded both his privacy and the privacy of his mother, Princess Diana.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the good news that her cancer treatment is complete and she is now in remission.

She announced on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th that her cancer is in remission and she’s concentrating on getting better. She added that, like anyone facing a cancer diagnosis, she’s still adjusting to life after it.

She added that she was excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what it would bring.

As someone who deeply understands the bond we share with our pets, I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Meghan Markle’s sweet rescue beagle. She welcomed him into her life way back in 2015, long before she met Prince Harry, and he clearly held a special place in her heart.

On January 7th, she shared a heartfelt post on Instagram about crying so much she’d lost count. She described the kind of tears that make you want to hide in the shower, hoping the water will wash away the pain – even though you know it won’t. She ended by saying it’s okay to feel those tears.

Meghan lovingly remembered her dog, Guy, saying, ‘Thank you for always loving me, my sweet boy. You brought so much joy to my life.’

 

Edward Pettifer, the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke (also known as Alexandra Pettifer), was a victim of the terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

I was so incredibly saddened to hear about the death of Ed Pettifer. Prince William and Kate shared a message on Instagram saying they were shocked and heartbroken, and I feel the same. My heart goes out to the Pettifer family and everyone affected by this terrible tragedy. It’s just awful.

Meghan Markle, known for her role on the TV show *Suits*, launched a new Instagram account on January 1st. She had previously closed her personal social media accounts right before marrying Prince Harry in 2018.
