Where Are Two & a Half Men’s Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer & Angus T. Jones

It’s easy to remember how popular *Two and a Half Men* was. The sitcom, which premiered on CBS on September 22, 2003, and starred Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, quickly became a huge hit. According to creator Chuck Lorre, the show found an audience almost immediately.

The series centered on the lives of Charlie Harper, a carefree bachelor (Sheen), his more reserved brother Alan Harper (Cryer), and Alan’s son Jake Harper (Jones) after Alan’s wife leaves him and they move in with Charlie. However, as the show became increasingly successful, Sheen began to struggle with personal issues, including divorces from Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, an assault arrest in 2009, addiction, and very public outbursts. Despite these problems, he continued to earn millions of dollars per episode.

Sheen himself acknowledged this, stating in a recent documentary, “It was too much money to give a guy like me in that mindset at that time. It was a recipe for disaster.”

After eight seasons on the show, Charlie Sheen was fired in 2011. He responded by suing Warner Bros. and the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, for $100 million, but the case was settled later that same year.

Charlie Sheen says he wishes things had ended differently with his previous show. In a recent interview with People magazine, he admitted to still regretting how things played out. He believes that if he’d made different choices, his life would be much better now, and he wouldn’t be facing the challenges he currently has. He added that it’s hard to predict how things might have turned out.

After Charlie Sheen’s character was written off the show, Ashton Kutcher joined the cast as Walden Schmidt, a wealthy man who purchased Charlie’s house. Further changes came when Jon Cryer left after season 10 in 2013, due to his religious convictions and desire for a more private life. After 12 seasons, *Two and a Half Men* concluded in 2015.

Ten years later, Sheen – who has been sober for almost eight years – and creator Chuck Lorre have repaired their relationship, but his friendship with Cryer isn’t as close as it once was.

Charlie Sheen, son of Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez, starred as Charlie Harper on the CBS sitcom *Two and a Half Men* for its first eight seasons, alongside Jon Cryer. His time on the show ended abruptly in 2011 due to struggles with addiction.

Sheen publicly feuded with executive producer Chuck Lorre, which led to his firing and became known for catchphrases like “winning” and “tiger’s blood.” His character was written off the show and later appeared as a ghost played by Kathy Bates.

Following *Two and a Half Men*, Sheen led the TV adaptation of *Anger Management* for two seasons, totaling 100 episodes. He has since made guest appearances on *The Goldbergs* and appeared in films including *Scary Movie 5*, *Machete Kills*, and *9/11*.

In 2023, Charlie Sheen, who publicly revealed his HIV diagnosis in 2015, appeared as himself in an episode of the Max series *Bookies*. He plans to release two books in 2025: his memoir, *The Book of Sheen*, and *aka Charlie Sheen*.

After years of sobriety, Sheen shares five children: sons Bob and Max with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, daughters Sami and Lola with ex-wife Denise Richards, and daughter Cassandra Estevez from a previous relationship.

Jon Cryer is best known for playing Alan Harper on all twelve seasons of *Two and a Half Men*. After the show ended, he wrote a memoir and appeared in several other TV series, including *Mom*, *The Ranch*, *NCIS*, *Robot Chicken*, and *Lady Dynamite*. More recently, Cryer played Lex Luthor on *Supergirl* (2019-2021) and Jim Kearney on *Extended Family* (2023-2024).

Cryer has two children: daughter Daisy with his wife Lisa Joyner, and son Charlie with his former wife Sarah Trigger.

Jon Cryer participated in the documentary *aka Charlie Sheen*, but he and Sheen aren’t close. Cryer explained on Bill Maher’s *Club Random* podcast in January that they no longer have a relationship, though he hopes Sheen is doing well. He’s heard through friends that Sheen has been sober for some time, which Cryer considers positive news.

Angus T. Jones was known for his role as Jake Harper on the TV show *Two and a Half Men*, the son of Alan Harper. He became the highest-paid teenage actor on television, but he left the show in 2013 after becoming deeply religious. He later made a brief return for the show’s final episode in 2015.

After leaving the sitcom, I was really interested to learn that Jones went to the University of Colorado Boulder. It was cool to hear he even started a media and events company with Sean Combs’ son, Justin Combs! More recently, in 2023, he made a fun cameo as himself on Chuck Lorre’s series, *Bookies*, which was a nice surprise. Mostly, though, Jones seems to enjoy staying out of the public eye, but he did share on Instagram back in 2020 that he’s now making music, and honestly, I’m totally here for it!

After Charlie Sheen left *Two and a Half Men*, Ashton Kutcher joined the show in its ninth season and remained until the series finale. He played the wealthy Walter Schmidt, who bought Charlie Harper’s house after Harper’s character passed away.

Following the end of *Two and a Half Men* in 2012, Ashton Kutcher starred in shows such as *The Ranch* and films like *Vengeance* and *Your Place or Mine*. He’s also a successful venture capitalist, with early investments in companies like Airbnb and Uber.

Kutcher married his *That ’70s Show* co-star, Mila Kunis, in July 2015. They have two children together: a daughter named Wyatt and a son named Dimitri.

Conchata Ferrell often appeared in memorable supporting roles in films and TV shows like *Erin Brockovich*, *Network*, *L.A. Law*, and *E/R* (which is different from *ER*). She became widely known for her role as Berta, the housekeeper, on *Two and a Half Men*, and earned two Emmy nominations for her performance on the CBS sitcom.

Following the conclusion of *Men*, Ferrell acted in *Krampus* and *Grace and Frankie*, and later worked with Ashton Kutcher again on *The Ranch*. She passed away in October 2020 at the age of 77.

Oh my gosh, have you *seen* Marin Hinkle? After being absolutely brilliant as Judith on *Two and a Half Men*, she just kept popping up everywhere! I spotted her in *Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle* – so fun! And she was fantastic in so many TV shows, like *The Affair*, *Red Band Society*, *Madam Secretary*, *Homeland*, and *Speechless*. But then… then she became Rose Weissman on *The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel*, and honestly, that role was *made* for her! I was obsessed with that show from 2017 to 2023, and she was just… perfect. I also know she has a son named Ben with her ex-husband, Randall Sommer, and I just wish her all the best!

Melanie Lynskey is remembered by fans of *Two and a Half Men* for her role as Rose, the eccentric neighbor of the Harpers. Her character had a relationship with Charlie, and she initially told everyone he passed away in season nine. However, the series finale revealed she had actually been holding him captive for four years.

Melanie Lynskey is an actress known for her work in films such as *Sadie*, *Little Boxes*, *The Changeover*, and *Pike River*. She’s also appeared in several TV shows, including *Togetherness*, *Castle Rock*, *Mrs. America*, *Candy*, and *Yellowjackets*. In 2018, she and Jason Ritter had a daughter, and they married in 2020.

Amber Tamblyn played Jenny, Charlie’s previously unknown daughter, during seasons 11 and 12 of the show. Since finishing her role on *Two and a Half Men*, she’s been in several projects including the films *You Hurt My Feelings*, *Y: The Last Man*, *Nostalgia*, and *Girlfriend’s Day*. She also wrote and directed the 2016 movie *Paint It Black*. Tamblyn married David Cross in 2012, and they have a daughter named Marlow, born in 2017.

Holland Taylor is best known for her role as Evelyn Harper on all twelve seasons of *Two and a Half Men*. Since then, she’s appeared in popular TV series like *The Morning Show*, *The Chair*, *Hollywood*, and *Mr. Mercedes*. She’s also added several films to her resume, including *Motherland*, *Quiz Lady*, *The Stand In*, *Bombshell*, and *Gloria Bell*. Taylor has been in a long-term relationship with Sarah Paulson.
