7 Coronation Street spoilers next week

1. Carla Connor confides her Becky Swain suspicions to Kit Green

Carla is forced to play along when Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) invites Becky over for lunch.

When Becky attempts to take some of Lisa’s food, Carla visibly becomes uneasy, even as Becky expresses a desire for things to feel normal.

Carla loses her temper and tells Becky it’s obvious what she wants, and it’s not normality.

Carla, convinced Lisa and Becky are mistaken, angrily leaves and goes straight to the police station.

There, Carla tells Kit she doesn’t believe Becky’s story, and that there must be more to it.

How will Kit respond?

And with Carla at the end of her tether, how will Lisa deal with the fallout?

2. Bethany Platt returns – but faces police questioning

At the station, Kit is led to an interview room, where Bethany is waiting.

Bethany explains that she quit her job in London and borrowed her boss’s car without permission.

She drove the car to Manchester, and now she’s been accused of stealing it. Can Kit help clear things up and get her out of trouble?

Bethany later confided in her mother, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), who is currently seeing Kit, explaining that she left her job voluntarily, before anyone could fire her.

I’m so glad Bethany is back! But I’m really worried about how Daniel will react when he finds out she’s returned, especially considering how badly he treated her before. I just hope things don’t get messy again.

3. Asha Alahan’s turmoil deepens over abuse ordeal

Asha is knocking back the drinks, and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) worries about her.

The next day, Asha sat outside the hospital watching the paramedics, and a growing sense of loneliness washed over her.

Sienna visits the shop, and Dev Alahan discovers Asha hasn’t been back to work. He confronts her about it, realizing she wasn’t truthful, and a mortified Asha quickly leaves.

By week’s end, Asha puts on a brave face and tells Dev she stands by her decision to withdraw the complaint, even though she’s secretly upset.

But with Naomi’s abusive behaviour having affected her deeply, how will Asha move forward?

Coronation Street is working with The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) on Asha’s story.

4. Carl Webster gaslights Debbie Webster over Abi Webster affair

Abi confides in Carl that she doesn’t feel like being intimate and is upset about her upcoming birthday tea with Kevin and Jack.

Carl is secretly texting another man, James Bailey, while Debbie spots Abi with a hotel key and demands answers.

Abi says she thinks she stayed at the hotel previously and accidentally left her card behind, but Debbie doesn’t remember anything about it.

Carl then convinces Debbie that her dementia is to blame, leaving his sister humiliated.

Abi is disturbed by how cold and calculating Carl is. Meanwhile, Debbie becomes suspicious again after reviewing security footage and seeing Abi go to Carl’s room.

Debbie hammers on the door, but will she catch the pair in the act?

Debbie is about to reveal the truth to Kevin. The next day, she tells Abi to leave, threatening to expose everything if Abi doesn’t comply.

Will Abi’s betrayal be exposed?

Anyone affected by Debbie’s storyline can visit Dementia UK or call its helpline on 0800 888 6678.

5. Theo Silverton is confronted by a man from his past

Theo tries to hide his frustration when Todd Grimshaw explains he’s already committed to helping Billy at the soup kitchen.

At the Bistro, Billy is surprised to see Theo comforting Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson).

At the community center, Theo is short-tempered with Todd and Billy. While assisting Mary Taylor with moving tables, he cries out in pain after accidentally injuring his finger, prompting Todd to quickly grab the first aid kit.

Theo gives a self-satisfied smile, and there’s another sinister twist the following evening.

I’m really excited to see Theo and Todd hitting the gay village for a night out! It looks like James, Mary, Sean Tully, Glenda Shuttleworth, and Christina Boyd are all joining them – should be a fun group!

But when a man recognises Theo and appears shocked, Theo stares at him until he hurries off.

Theo urges Todd to dance with the others, while the man, Owen, decides to confront Theo.

Okay, so Theo just physically shoved Owen out onto the street and is telling him to stay away. But it immediately raises so many questions. Who *is* this Theo guy, and more importantly, given what we already know – that Theo is a controlling person – what exactly did he *do* to Owen to get him in this position? It’s a really effective way to build suspense.

I was really worried when Theo and Todd had a fight. Theo stormed off in anger, and when he didn’t come home, I started to feel scared something might have happened to him.

Jake returns Theo’s phone to Brian Packham at the Kabin, leaving Todd disturbed.

Where is Theo?

Coronation Street is collaborating with the charity Galop to accurately depict abusive dynamics in a same-sex relationship.

6. Jenny Connor uses Rita Tanner for sympathy with George Shuttleworth ahead of exit

Glenda lets Jenny and Rita Tanner know she’s planning to make sure Jenny gets to spend time with George before Christina does, essentially giving Jenny the first chance with him.

As the evening progresses, Rita calls Jenny to let her know she’s fallen. George stops by with soup for Rita, but Jenny makes it sound like Rita is much more seriously hurt than she is and quickly gets him to leave.

Brian reveals that Rita merely has a sprained ankle, but how will George react?

Jenny is ashamed, and apologises to Rita for misleading George that she was very ill.

As Jenny admits she enjoyed the attention, will Rita forgive her or has she burned her bridges?

And with Jenny due to leave the cobbles, will she part on bad terms?

Glenda tells George she’s been evaluating Christina’s good and bad qualities, writing them down in a list. However, Christina arrives and quickly grabs the list from her.

Is Glenda right to be wary of Christina?

7. Tyrone Dobbs is discharged from hospital – and greeted by secret hit and run culprit Carl Webster

Tyrone returned home after spending several weeks in the hospital recovering from serious spinal injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident.

While Tyrone regained some feeling in his legs, recovery and physiotherapy will be a long process.

Fiz Dobbs arrives home with Ty, who is using a wheelchair, and they’re met by Debbie, Brian, and Carl.

But it’s Carl who has covered his tracks after knocking Tyrone down in the first place!

Will guilt ever hit home for Carl?

Coronation Street is working with Spinal Injuries Association on Tyrone’s story.
