Sony Adds Official Desktop Speakers to Its Increasingly Enormous Product Family

Throughout this console generation, Sony has consistently released new hardware and accessories. The FlexStrike fighting stick feels like a logical addition to their lineup, but the new Pulse Elevate wireless speakers are a bit unexpected.

According to Sony’s Edwin Foo in a PlayStation Blog post, the new Pulse Elevate headset and earbuds take the high-quality audio experience from the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore to the next level. They combine features like planar magnetic drivers and PlayStation Link technology into fresh designs, letting players enjoy their favorite games with even better sound.

The main appeal of these speakers is their versatility and realistic sound quality. Sony highlights that they’re designed to work well in many different setups, and specifically points out compatibility with PCs, Macs, the PlayStation 5, and the PS Portal.

These speakers connect wirelessly, letting you easily move them wherever you need. Each speaker includes a charging dock, so you can keep them powered up whether they’re on your desk or used in other rooms.

These planar magnetic drivers will work alongside the PS5’s 3D audio to deliver incredibly precise sound positioning. PlayStation Link technology ensures minimal delay, providing a seamless experience.

We don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but these will come in Midnight Black and White in 2026.
