A role-playing game currently available on Steam as an early access title will be removed on October 10th. Because it’s a Steam exclusive, the game won’t be available for purchase anywhere after that date. Its online features will also be shut down, meaning it can only be played offline. Many players who bought the game during early access are understandably upset, and currently, there are no announcements about refunds.
Superfuse is an action RPG for Steam that aims to capture the feel of popular games like Diablo, Torchlight, and Path of Exile, and it’s clear those games were a big influence. However, despite being published by well-respected indie publisher Raw Fury – the same team behind this year’s critically acclaimed Blue Prince – it hasn’t found the same success. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone as planned for the developers, Stitch Heads Entertainment.
The game is being removed from sale, and unfortunately, it seems the studio behind it, Stich Heads Entertainment, is also closing down. This makes a future return of the game unlikely, as Raw Fury probably doesn’t own the rights to it.
Official Statement From Raw Fury
Hey everyone, I know a lot of us have been checking for updates on this game, so I wanted to share what’s going on. Sadly, the team who actually *made* the game, Stitch Heads Entertainment, has shut down. Because of that, they can’t keep the servers running, fix bugs, or release any new updates anymore. It’s a bummer, but following Steam’s rules, the game will be taken off Steam on October 10, 2025. It’s sad news, but at least we now know what’s happening.
We’re very sorry to share this disappointing news about *Superfuse*. We wish we had better updates, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported the game and its community.
Raw Fury also stated that the game will always stay in your Steam library, but it won’t receive any further updates. This means the game will remain as it is now, without any changes.
What Went Wrong?
The overwhelmingly negative Steam reviews for *Superfuse* likely explain why the game was removed from sale and the studio closed. However, many of those negative reviews weren’t posted until the developers stopped providing support and it became clear the game wouldn’t be finished. Fans aren’t just upset about the situation; they’re disappointed that *Superfuse* will never live up to its potential.
Man, it’s really bumming me out reading the feedback on this game. One person put it perfectly – it feels like so much potential just went to waste, and honestly, the only thing everyone seems to agree is good is the music. Another gamer said it’s a classic example of a company just rushing a game out to make money, and that they really dropped the ball on what could have been an incredible experience. It’s frustrating to see a promising game get abandoned like that.
Most games fail because they aren’t good enough or people simply aren’t interested, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue here. We don’t know exactly what happened, but there’s no evidence to suggest the game itself was the problem.
Steam players have plenty of other games to choose from, including a big RPG coming out soon, which should help them cope with the game being removed from the store. Unfortunately, this doesn’t offer a refund for the $25 they spent.
