Okay, so huge news for racing fans! Playground Games just announced *Forza Horizon 6* and it’s finally taking us to Japan! They revealed it during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show broadcast. We’ll be cruising around Tokyo and the area around Mount Fuji, which is awesome. The art director, Don Arceta, told GamesRadar that this map is going to be the biggest they’ve ever made for a *Horizon* game – seriously, it sounds massive! I can’t wait to explore everything.
Given that *Forza Horizon 5* was already much larger than *Forza Horizon 4*, it’s hard to imagine how much bigger a Japan-based *Forza Horizon* game could be. However, the developers at Playground Games say they’ve made this installment incredibly packed with content, so there will always be something new to find.
We needed to make the new area substantial, filled with plenty of activities and sights. This map of Japan – our version of Japan in the game – is large and packed with things to find. There’s always something new just around the corner. It’s definitely bigger than previous areas, although I don’t want to say exactly how much.
Forza Horizon 6 is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2026. The developers at Turn 10 Studios are also working on a version for PlayStation 5, but it will be released after the other versions at a later date. Like past Forza Horizon games, it will have a wide variety of cars, but this installment will especially focus on the local car scene. The game will also bring back seasons, which will significantly change the game world.
