Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
You cannot fight. Yet, you must confront your fears.
Niraya of ■■ is a horror adventure game with a Japanese aesthetic. It tells the story of Yuni, a young child who finds herself lost in a spooky world and is trying to find her way back home.
Story
Late summer, 2000…
While participating in a ceremony at a secluded temple, Yuni passes out and finds herself awake inside a chilly, dark refrigerator. When she looks outside, the world seems completely different-and her mother is nowhere to be seen.
Strange and frightening creatures hide within the tunnels lit by lanterns and the buildings that resemble temples. Yuni has a feeling something bad is about to happen just before it does, and she does her best to escape and keep moving forward. She’s chased constantly, but she holds onto one belief: that she’ll find a way back home.
Key Features
- The Horror of Being Powerless – Powerless to strike back against the monsters of this realm, Yuni must utilize premonitions of hostile intent to evade attacks.
- Suspense Through Limited Movement – Running ahead blindly will leave Yuni exhausted and vulnerable. Suspense heightens with every step, as you carefully manage stamina while making critical decisions.
- A Silent and Uncanny World – Most strangely, this forsaken world does not fall into ruin—as if some unknowable force watches over it. Amidst serene, Buddhist-inspired architecture, something profoundly wrong lingers just beneath the surface.
What led to Yuni being left alone in this unfamiliar place? As you journey through the world, you might uncover the reasons, piece by piece. However, the most crucial task is to help Yuni find their way back home safely.
