Bridget Moynahan is taking it play by play when it comes to motherhood.

Actress Ginnifer Goodwin, known for her role on *Blue Bloods*, has decided to pause her acting career after the show ended in 2024. She wants to spend more time with her and Tom Brady’s 18-year-old son, Jack.

Bridget mentioned on Kristin Davis’s podcast, *Are You A Charlotte?*, that she worked on a few projects after *Blue Bloods*, but she also has a teenager to care for.

I’ve been hearing from him, and it sounds like he’s really taking it easy lately. He told me his child is about to graduate, and he’s just trying to enjoy a quieter time before all the graduation celebrations kick in.

So for now, Bridget is “just leaning into that.”

The actress from *John Wick* has also been supporting Jack as he decides what he wants to do with his life.

In a 2023 appearance on *Live with Kelly and Mark*, she explained that he’s a typical young person who hasn’t quite figured out his future yet, and she feels that’s perfectly fine.

Does she wonder if Jack wants to be an actor or a football player like his parents? Ultimately, that’s a decision only Jack can make.

She added that she definitely didn’t want to pressure him to follow in her or his father’s footsteps.

Currently, Jack seems to be focusing on sports, with his father, Tom, sharing that he wants to be a basketball player. While Tom will always support his son, he anticipates there might be some challenges along the way.

You know, as a dad, it’s all about encouragement! I was chatting at the Fortune Global Forum recently and was playfully teasing my son about his jumping. I told him, ‘You’re getting there, and just wait until your growth spurt hits – you’ll be dunking in no time!’ Honestly, whether he becomes a basketball star isn’t the point. What *really* matters is letting him know I’m always in his corner, supporting him no matter what. It’s about building confidence and having fun along the way!

Tom Brady, who is also a father to 15-year-old Benjamin and 12-year-old Vivian with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, understands it’s tough being his son. He recognizes the challenges his boys face and tries to be understanding and supportive.

My children will inevitably face their own difficulties, and I want them to learn how to handle them. I plan to support them as my parents supported me, and I expect to learn and grow alongside them as they navigate these challenges.
