Kelly Clarkson Cancels First Night of Las Vegas Residency Hours Before

What doesn’t kill Kelly Clarkson makes her stronger.

A little over an hour prior to starting her Studio Sessions residency at the Colosseum Theater in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas on July 4, the “Since U Been Gone” artist decided to delay her initial two performances.

In a statement posted on Instagram on the 4th of July, Kelly expressed that we’ve been tirelessly working around the clock to create Studio Sessions into an exceptionally personal and extraordinary event for my amazing fans. I am incredibly thankful for your continued support, and I’m heartbroken to announce the postponement of tonight’s and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.

It appears that the former contestant on “American Idol,” who has children named River (11) and Remington “Remy” Alexander (9) with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, had to unexpectedly cancel shows due to developing vocal issues.

After putting in a lot of preparation and practice, my voice has been affected. I really want the performances to be top-notch for everyone, so I’m using this weekend and next week to recover and rejuvenate. This way, we can present something exceptional as promised. The show is truly amazing!

But after a small bump in the road, the 43-year-old plans to be back and better than ever.

She finished by saying that the performers were exceptional, and she wanted us to begin with a bang. She’s eagerly looking forward to returning the following weekend and demonstrating the progress we’ve made.

Indeed, Kelly consistently maintains a warm tone in her vocals as she flawlessly performs numerous cover songs during her award-winning talk show’s “Kellyoke” segment – namely, The Kelly Clarkson Show. Lately, this musical endeavor has transformed into a cherished family activity.

On the April 2nd episode of her own show, Kelly mentioned that her eldest daughter was present that day, as she was spending time with showrunner Alex Duda, learning the ropes. Overjoyed, Kelly exclaimed, “Wow! Look at you with a microphone and everything! You’re so sophisticated! Oh my God, I love it. You’re like a miniature production assistant.

However, River effortlessly embraced the realm of entertainment, whereas Kelly openly confessed that maintaining pace with her children’s school activities has proven challenging due to her busy weekday job commitments.

She expressed her frustration to Kylie Kelce during a March episode of the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, saying, “Why are there events scheduled in the middle of the day at school?” She continued, “They tell me, ‘Your daughter has a performance,’ and I respond, ‘That’s wonderful, but it means I have to be the inconvenience because you chose that time—10 a.m. on a Thursday—when we’re all out here working hard.’

She joked, echoing her children’s questions, “Is it like I simply lounge around at the park all day?” But remember, Mommy works too – just as women and men do, it’s perfectly fine.
