During this year’s Anime Expo, Horikoshi shared that his open schedule allows him to dedicate extra effort to collaborate with Studio BONES on the series production. As a result, he will include new scenes in the production that weren’t featured in the manga. At this year’s Anime Expo panel for “My Hero Academia,” creator Horikoshi shared some exclusive insights about the upcoming eighth and final season. This has provided him an opportunity to propose additional scenes and deeper emotional depth for the performances. After the final episode of the manga, Horikoshi hasn’t given any indication yet about revisiting the superhero world. Given how the story concluded, this isn’t surprising. Earlier in the year, it was confirmed that My Hero Academia: Vigilantes would return for a second season, implying that Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster will be the remaining heroes portrayed.
