Ted Lasso’s Brendan Hunt Marries Shannon Nelson

Brendan Hunt and Shannon Nelson will make you believe in love.

Jason Sudeikis, known for his role in *Ted Lasso*, and Kirsten Dunst, who starred in *Drop Dead Gorgeous*, have announced they got married on September 20th after being engaged for two years.

Brendan announced on Instagram on October 8th that he and @snoopshann recently got married in Ireland, adding with a touch of humor, “No big deal.”

The couple, who have two sons – 4-year-old Sean and 20-month-old Archibald – said their wedding was planned very quickly and with a smaller guest list than they’d hoped for.

The longtime couple’s wedding definitely had a touch of *Ted Lasso* to it! Brendan’s co-star, Jason Sudeikis, led the ceremony, and Brendan later joked that they suspected Sudeikis was just pretending to be a priest.

He raved about how beautiful the bride looked, and said the groom looked pretty good too. He was especially happy their sons could witness the special occasion, and thought everything was wonderful.

Shannon shared on Instagram that their children had a heartwarming role in the wedding: walking her down the aisle and witnessing her and her husband exchange vows, officially uniting their family in a sweet, joyful, and intimate ceremony.

The actress recalled the night fondly, adding, “Then we danced until my shoe leather wore off.”

Everything about the event felt personal, right down to the invitations. They were uniquely worded, acknowledging the couple’s sons by saying, “Sean Theodore and Archibald Felix request the honor of your presence at the wedding celebration of their parents.”

The invitation also mentioned that guests were encouraged to wear bright colors and bold patterns.

The vibrant colors extended to the wedding party, with Brendan sporting a green velvet tuxedo and Shannon choosing a cream gown adorned with delicate pink and green floral embroidery.

The couple celebrated with a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake decorated with figurines of Sally and Pig-Pen from the *Peanuts* comic strip.
