As of Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at 6am, more information is becoming available about a marketing deal between Sony and Battlefield 6. It appears PlayStation Plus members will receive several exclusive perks as part of the partnership.
As we mentioned earlier this week, players who team up with at least two other players who have purchased the game will receive a 5% experience point (XP) boost. But that’s not all – we have more collaborative features coming soon!
PlayStation.com reveals the full list of incentives for PS Plus members:
- Tier Skips
- Automatically unlock extra tiers when you purchase Battlefield Pro.
- Extended Access to 2XP Events
- Get extended access into select bonus XP events to boost your progression.
- Squad XP Boost
- Unlock an XP Boost for your whole squad when two or more players in the squad are on PlayStation.
Sony is counting on PlayStation 5 being the preferred console for playing the next Battlefield game. They expect this will lead to strong sales.
Now that Sony no longer has exclusive rights to the Call of Duty franchise, the company is heavily investing in Battlefield 6, offering players special benefits to play it on PlayStation.
Here’s a small perk: if you play with a group of two or more people who all have PlayStation Plus, you’ll get a 5% experience point (XP) boost. You also receive a 5% XP boost just for playing with friends in a party, which combines for a total of 10% more XP.
PlayStation often provides benefits to players on its consoles, particularly when it’s the main sponsor for a game. As we mentioned earlier this week, their logo and branding are prominently featured in much of the advertising for the new Battlefield game.
If Xbox hadn’t acquired Activision, it’s unlikely we’d be seeing such a strong push for this game. Historically, Activision has always made big deals around Call of Duty releases. It will be very interesting to see how many players Battlefield 6 attracts away from the next Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, this year.
If you’re mainly looking forward to playing the single-player mode, this new Battlefield game doesn’t make a great first impression. Our early review called it adequate, but we haven’t been particularly impressed so far.
