Marvel fans are thrilled about the second season of *Daredevil: Born Again*. The Disney+ series already brought back Daredevil after the Netflix show ended, and now Krysten Ritter will be joining the cast as Jessica Jones, another popular character from the Netflix Marvel series. Fans are excited about Jessica Jones’ return, both because she’s a beloved character in the comics and on screen, and because they hope she’ll finally get a costume that’s more accurate to her comic book appearance. While it’s still uncertain, Ritter seems interested in the possibility.
During an interview with ComicBook at New York Comic Con, Krysten Ritter shared that she believes Jessica Jones already has a great look, but she wouldn’t mind seeing the character’s appearance become more closely aligned with her comic book counterpart.
Ritter said Jessica looked incredibly cool. He admitted he loved her appearance but added he wouldn’t rule anything out in the future.
Ritter also said she’s glad she’s finally able to be open about her return to the MCU.
She expressed her happiness at finally being able to share the truth. She was thrilled to be back and overwhelmed by the enthusiastic support from her fans, who had been so eager to see her return. It’s a really exciting moment, she added.
How Likely Is It That Jessica Jones Will Get Her Comics Costume?
It would be entertaining to see Jessica Jones adopt her classic comic book costume in *Daredevil: Born Again*, but it’s unlikely. While anything is possible, the suit – a blue and white strapless design with long gloves – isn’t very practical, and doesn’t quite match the personality Krysten Ritter has brought to the character.
The Netflix series *Jessica Jones* has alluded to the comic book version of her costume before. In Season 1, there’s a humorous moment where Trish learns about Jessica’s powers and Jessica dismisses the idea of a suit – and we even get a quick glimpse of it. However, the show has established that Jessica isn’t a character who would wear a traditional costume. Her signature leather jacket and everyday clothes fit her personality much better and have been successful for the show so far, and it’s unlikely that will change in the future.
Fans will be thrilled to see Rachael Ritter reprise her role as Jessica for the upcoming Disney+ series, even without a costume that perfectly matches the comics. But that’s not all to look forward to! Marvel’s Brand Winderbaum recently confirmed that Elden Henson will also return as Foggy Nelson in season two, despite his character’s death in the first episode of the show.
Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will arrive on Disney+ in 2026.
