The future of Armand Truisi (Max Casella) in Season 3 of *Tulsa King* might already be known, and many fans believe it’s not a happy one. Armand has been a friend of Dwight Manfredi for years. In Season 2 of *Tulsa King*, Armand’s life fell apart because of his involvement in Manfredi’s criminal activities and his increasing struggles with alcohol, ultimately leading to the end of his marriage.
In Season 2, Armand turned against Dwight, sharing secrets with his enemy, Cal Thresher, to solve his money problems. This deal proved to be a mistake, costing him his family and job because he let personal issues get out of control. Although he attempted to steal $500,000 from Manfredi’s team, he ultimately returned the money and asked Dwight for forgiveness.
Despite still being angry with Armand, Dwight decided to give him another chance by leading the plan to trap Jackie Ming at Margaret’s ranch. With Ming defeated, the Season 2 finale showed Dwight welcoming Armand back into his crew, giving him a fresh start to prove himself. However, Armand doesn’t appear at all in Season 3 of *Tulsa King*.
As a big fan of crime dramas, I was really excited about *Tulsa King*, created by Taylor Sheridan. It’s a fantastic story about Dwight Manfredi, and watching him try to build a new criminal operation in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a surprisingly quirky group of people, is just great. Plus, the cast is incredible – Sylvester Stallone leads the way, and you’ve also got Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Annabella Sciorra, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany all delivering strong performances. I was thrilled to see Season 3 drop on Paramount+ on September 21, 2025!
What Happened to Armand In Tulsa King Season 3 May Be Linked to Musso
The third season of *Tulsa King* hasn’t featured Armand much, even with the new conflict involving Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick). His absence was briefly explained in Episode 3. This season, Dwight Manfredi was forced to work with FBI Special Agent Musso (Kevin Pollak) because Manfredi was responsible for the death of Musso’s informant, Ripple, 25 years prior. Musso was particularly upset, as Ripple’s death ruined two years of his investigation and left him with a cold case.
Today, Musso essentially strong-armed Manfredi into working with him. Manfredi complied because he feared an FBI investigation would expose his team. The mystery is how Musso knew so much about Manfredi’s operation – it’s unclear where he got his information.
In the latest episode of *Tulsa King*, viewers learned what happened to Armand. Dwight told his team that Armand was heading to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado to be with his family. However, this turned out to be untrue. Armand’s wife, Clara, informed Joanne Manfredi that he didn’t arrive in Colorado as planned to see their children, and he wasn’t responding to calls.
During a road trip, Special Agent Musso strangely brought up Armand to Dwight, letting him know he had files on everyone in Dwight’s group. Musso then teased Dwight, saying he had no clue where Armand was, hinting that he actually did know something about his location.
A popular theory on Reddit suggests that Armand may be in the Witness Protection Program. This idea stems from a scene where Musso jokingly references Armand’s disappearance, hinting that Musso knows more than he lets on. This could explain why Armand is missing in Season 3 of *Tulsa King* and how Musso seems to be fully aware of both Manfredi’s current activities in Tulsa and his past in New York.
If Armand enters witness protection, it creates serious problems for Dwight and his team. The FBI is closely monitoring them, and everything they’ve built is now at risk. While there are many potential consequences, the most damaging would be RICO charges – charges related to organized crime – which could dismantle their entire operation and lead to imprisonment.
Dwight’s enemies could use the fact that Armand is in witness protection against him, but right now, Manfredi’s team is mostly focused on escaping their current legal troubles. It seems like all of this is actually Special Agent Musso’s way of getting back at Dwight.
How Dwight Can Get Out of the Armand Dilemma (Theory)
The third season of *Tulsa King* hasn’t revealed what happened to Armand, leaving viewers to wonder if he’s still alive and in hiding through the Witness Protection Program, possibly under Musso’s control, or if he’s met with a darker fate. This mystery has been ongoing, and many fans anticipate it will be resolved later in the season.
Dwight and his team are in a tough spot, facing pressure from the FBI and the growing power of Jeremiah Dunmire. Armand’s arrival could either lead to Manfredi’s crew being defeated, or become the key to their survival.
Although Armand’s current location is a mystery, Dwight believes he can find it once Armand’s Witness Protection status is confirmed. Dwight plans to leverage his contacts in New York—specifically the Invernizzi family or someone known as Quiet Ray—to figure out how to get inside the facility where Armand is being held.
Threatening a junior marshal might be a path to reaching Armand and potentially freeing him. Once Armand is safe, eliminating Musso would eliminate a threat and clean up any remaining problems for Dwight and his team.
It’s also possible Armand is deceased, and Musso might be exploiting Dwight by pretending Armand is missing.
