Nintendo is known for keeping many of its popular games, like *The Legend of Zelda* and Mario, exclusive to its own consoles. However, some games from other companies initially launch only on Nintendo Switch (and soon, the new Switch 2) for a limited time. This means they could eventually come to other platforms. A great example is *1000xResist*, which will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and through Xbox Game Pass next month.
Originally launched on Nintendo Switch and PC in May 2024, *1000xResist* is a visually striking game with an anime art style, set in a beautifully detailed, futuristic post-apocalyptic world. It’s been very well-received, earning an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating on Steam and a Metascore of 86. Now, Fellow Traveler has announced that *1000xResist* will be coming to Xbox and PlayStation on November 4th. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be especially pleased to learn that the game will also be available as part of the Game Pass library.
Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Hit 1000xResist Shows Off Stunning New Trailer to Announce PS5 & Xbox Release
Sunset Visitor, the developer of 1000xResist, and publisher Fellow Traveler just released a new trailer for the game. If you’re unfamiliar with it, the trailer offers a good look at the game’s unsettling, futuristic setting and story.
If you enjoy sci-fi or games set in a post-apocalyptic world, you’ll likely love *1000xResist*. You play as Watcher, a character dedicated to maintaining order under the ALLMOTHER. However, discovering a surprising truth will completely change your understanding of everything.
This indie game has earned praise from both players and critics for its powerful and original story. While its beautiful art style initially grabs your attention, it’s the clever storytelling and solid gameplay that truly captivate you. Many stories like this fall into predictable patterns, but *1000xResist* stands out by feeling both new and relevant. It explores important themes like cloning, global pandemics, and immigration, all while asking thought-provoking questions about what it means to be human.

Sunset Visitor’s first game, *1000xResist*, is a success, and it’s great news that even more players will get to experience it. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 4th, and will also be available to play with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Plus, the game will soon support more languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and French, alongside the existing English, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese options.
1000xResist is currently available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $19.99, and the console version launching soon will likely cost the same.
