Gwyneth Paltrow Weighs in on Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner Romance

Gwyneth Paltrow was not all that conscious of this particular couple.

She was really impressed with how Timothée Chalamet interacted with Kylie Jenner when they first met, especially considering Kylie shares two children – 7-year-old Stormi and 3-year-old Aire – with Travis Scott.

Gwyneth shared in a recent interview with British Vogue that people often tease her for being clueless. She recounted an awkward conversation where she asked someone if they had a girlfriend. When he confirmed that he did and mentioned his girlfriend had children, Gwyneth responded with enthusiastic approval, saying she was happy to hear it from a young man.

Gwyneth, Timothée’s co-star in *Marty Supreme*, commented that she understands someone in their 40s with children dating another parent, but she finds it particularly admirable when they date someone much younger with kids. She described it as a bold and unconventional choice, saying, ‘I respect it. I think it’s kind of punk rock.’

Discovering who the 29-year-old was seeing actually made the news even more surprising. She explained, “I had no idea it was Kylie Jenner…”

Timothée has been dating Kylie since 2023. Gwyneth Paltrow wasn’t aware of the relationship, but she did notice some of Timothée’s devoted fans were envious of her romantic scenes with him in a movie.

Honestly, my mom groups were buzzing! Everyone was so excited and supportive – they were all cheering me on, which was lovely, but a little overwhelming! I had to remind them to take a deep breath with me.

Gwyneth caused a stir online when photos from her intimate scenes with Timothée in the movie *Marty Supreme* were released, and she’s now sharing her thoughts on filming those scenes with him.

She described the intimate scenes as involving a lot of physical closeness, telling *British Vogue* that despite that, they were surprisingly easy to watch.

She explained that the numerous intimate scenes successfully portrayed the development of her character’s relationship.

She described Kay and Marty’s relationship as very business-like and lacking warmth. It’s not romantic; they interact more like they’re making a deal than falling in love.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet began dating rumors in April 2023, shortly after she ended her relationship with Travis Scott, the father of her two children, Stormi (born in 2018) and Aire (born in 2022).

In August 2023, TopMob News reported that Kim Kardashian and Timothée Chalamet were still dating, even though there were rumors they had broken up.

Following a public display of affection at Beyoncé’s birthday concert in Los Angeles in September 2023, the couple was also seen together at a glamorous dinner during New York Fashion Week.

Later that same month, the couple attended the U.S. Open in New York. 

It was love-all at the US Open in September 2023. 

During a recent interview with GQ about privacy, Timothée laughed when asked about Kylie’s level of fame.

“This reminds me of that recent South Park episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour,” he said, referencing the show’s parody of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you’re trying to live a private life.”

Despite not walking the red carpet as a couple, they appeared happy and cheerful on their date to the 2023 award show.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet both attended the *Saturday Night Live* after-party in November 2023, though they arrived at the event separately. Timothée had hosted the show that evening.

What award show? 

The 2024 Golden Globes felt like a night just for couples, especially with all eyes on Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, who seemed to be the center of attention with their sweet displays of affection. There were no reports of any drama to spoil their romantic evening.

Kylie accompanied Timothée to the Golden Globes for the second year in a row. Timothée was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for his role as Bob Dylan in the film *A Complete Unknown*. While Adrien Brody ultimately won the award, Timothée found success with Kylie, as the two enjoyed a romantic evening together.

Although Kylie didn’t accompany Timothée to the 2025 Oscars—where he was nominated for playing Bob Dylan in the movie *A Complete Unknown*—she did join him at the *Vanity Fair* after-party.

I had such a fun night out in L.A. in April 2025, catching the Lakers play the Timberwolves! It was a really exciting game and a great way to spend an evening.

Timothée Chalamet and his partner made their red carpet debut at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome, where he received a special acting award.

Kylie’s sister, Kendall Jenner, accompanied her on a date to the New York Knicks versus Boston Celtics game at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Kylie visited Timothée in Budapest in August 2025 while he was filming *Dune: Part Three*. They took pictures with fans while out at a coffee shop.
