Prime Video Now Streaming the Best ’80s Horror Movie

The 1980s stood out as a distinctive period, and this was particularly evident in the horror genre, which saw an unprecedented growth during that decade. Many ’80s horror films had a distinct feel that gave rise to a unique subgenre, characterized by a mix of humor, gore, and a nostalgic adrenaline rush seldom matched since then. Among all movies from the decade, none embodied those ’80s qualities quite like Sam Raimi’s side-splitting 1987 sequel did.

Evil Dead II came six years after its forerunner, The Evil Dead. Unlike the initial installment which intensified the fear factor, Raimi and Bruce Campbell opted for a different approach in this sequel. Rather than ramping up the frightening elements, they produced a timeless classic instead. Horror enthusiasts have always cherished Evil Dead II, and it’s now more accessible than ever before.

Raimi’s iconic cabin-in-the-woods movie has now joined Prime Video‘s collection, significantly enhancing Amazon’s streaming service with a terrifying horror injection.

Unfortunately, it seems that only “Evil Dead II” can be streamed from Raimi’s franchise on Prime Video. Neither of his original “Evil Dead” films nor the reboot versions are available there, including the recent adaptations and the “Ash vs. the Evil Dead” TV series.
